Was asked to go Sub to help try and break the shield for this H-Raz group, and some pulls I was around 95k going into the shield phase, on the kill, things didn't go so well
but Generally not a great sub player, mostly of the Asn/Outlaw group. Was kind of surprised at the low output in general. Just looking for advice on things to clean and tighten up. If it was outlaw or asn, I know exactly where to optimize and prioritize, but Sub I don't really know where to begin with analysis
Big ones are
- using sectech outside dance. Sectech should be inside dance for the DM stacks
- dance rotation, sectech is your 2nd finisher. You tend to use sectech straight after strike
- do you have cold blood and sectech macroed together?
The dance rotation is probably the most important thing for sub. Unlike outlaw, your biggest dam is from there
Done right, should be hitting high 90-100+k
For just a sectech cast
Brb
@supple barn rn I'd recommend doing the dance rotation over a dummy. Muscle memory and learning the rotation would be best at this point
when i was reading over the finisher section of the faq and it mentioned sectech being used inside dance, i didn't understand that it meant 'only' then
figured it was an use on-cooldown ability, and "When it's available , pay attention to when you're using it inside dance"
Didn't consider how much Sectech contributed as a late finisher during DM
This message here might also be helpful for finisher/builder prio in ST dance depending on how many CPs you have going into dance
It does considering you aim for it to be the 2nd finisher in dance. Getting either 4 or 5 stacks of DM (altho you aim for 2nd finisher and not DM stacks)
The reason for not aiming for DM stacks is because, too late and the clones don't benefit from DM
You only have 8 gcds during dance
thats a good thread, thanks for that. I did what he was doing and I Was forcing myself to enter dance at low CP
makes complete sense if it lines up to dance evis strike sectec strike. I 100% always went in after a finisher.
That was me BTW LOL
Oh! lmao
So knowing what I know about fixing up ST, that leaves my only question with being the amount of ruptures to throw out in low target count m+ situations
4-5 targets. Sometimes I put up 4 rupture, sometimes I don't. I can't help but want to get straight into Black Powder. Assuming all targets live for the duration, I would think that beyond 4 targets is where you cut that off
Assuming all targets are going to live 12s or more. Rupture first. Then BP after
Because of the talent, you only need to cast rupture twice (rupture gets cast to 1 additional target) . But your positioning matters, as it targets closest
Am unsure what happens beyond 4 targets, lemme ask in main
Was told to rupture rest after first dance
interesting
