roll the bones uptime is really choppy
slice and dice fell off once too
I see you spending combo points at 4cp, 3cp, etc.
this build should spend combo points at 7cp normally but at 6cp if broadside (from roll the bones) or fan the hammer is active
Never below 6cp
Hmm, that might be a big thing with me then, cos I do find myself spending at 4cp and 3cp if I feel like it might trigger a buff
Should I try and always get it up to full even if my procs haven't triggered?
this rule covers everything
you finish at 7cp normally
but if you happen to be at 6cp with broadside or FTH active
then you finish at 6 in that moment
Ok!
Tbh I think one of my biggest struggles comes down to keeping track of everything
With RtB especially
yeah you need to react quickly to audacity or fan the hammer
there are times audacity is active but you press sinister strike instead of ambush
if audacity is active then you should use ambush immediately
unless you meet the finisher rule to use dispatch/between the eyes first
but ambush is the highest priority combo point generator there
similarly, there are times fan the hammer is active but again you press sinister strike
you should consume fan the hammer immediately if audacity is not active and you are below 6cp
pretty common mistake, defaulting to sinister strike too much
Thanks for this conversation. I'm in the same boat and this helps. I think i've come to the conclussion that i'm used to mashing things to always hit and i need to slow down and retrain myself to make sure i'm hitting the RIGHT things, then speed up instead of just hitting whatever because it's there.
So it looks like my combo builder priority's rather off as well ^^' It's been taking me a while to get used to them, so I'll try and get a bit more focus on the flow of that
I suppose the other thing that really gets me is my energy, as sometimes I can be without adrenaline rush but no procs for vanish of shadow dance
im seeing a decent amount of stray singular pistol shots
oh, i know what's happening
after casting between the eyes, pistol shot starts glowing
because of Greenskins
this tricks you into thinking fan the hammer is active but it's not
cause fan the hammer also makes it glow
Oh so that's what that is!
I keep wondering why i sometimes get a 1 shot glow in there, that does clear that up for me
I realized this recently too. Really threw me off for a while.
unfortunately i'm not sure there is an easy way to disable that glow for the default action bars
There is a weak auras that only glows when fan the hammer is up
yeah, but the button on the action bar will still glow for greenskins
right
i just hide my action bars
That's something else I was wondering about, are there any handy weak auras for an outlaw rogue? Only one I've found throws all the procs I'd want to see in the middle of the screen, in amongst all my bars
You can move them
a lot of people use weakauras in the middle of the screen and move/hide the action bars
if your weakauras are showing every cooldown/buff timer nicely, then showing your action bars is just noise
my action bars show when i mouse over them but i dont need to see them in combat
is there an easy way to move the weak auras so I can still see my ability keys? I'd still feel a bit insecure without them haha
yeah weakauras can usually be dragged around
just open the weak auras config, select the specific one, and just click and drag
hmmm
now this is likely because of the previous errors lowering your energy and cp efficiency which causes lower ADR uptime
but basically this cast per minute is about 20% lower than a standard kill
it is difficult to say something to fix this beyond "outlaw is faced paced and you dont want to miss globals/uptime whenever possible"
hmm, is there any outstanding casts you can see there that would be causing this? Or is it because there;s a higher sinister strike (and pistol shot from green) that's leading to the energy withdrawal overall?
but adrenaline rush does lower your global cooldown to 0.8s and it is surprisingly often that people dont hit things in time
because of all the previous errors it is hard to say
but it also cause just be an uptime thing
heroic terros has like 0 reason to leave melee range
i know that's not really helpful but high actions per minute is a big part of outlaw
it is very real to be 'not keeping up with the pace of the spec' especially if you are constantly thinking about procs and stuff
and what to do
No no, you've given me a lot of helpful info! I think it sounds like I need to give the practice dummy a bit more attention and try and get my muscle memory and cooldown management better when under relaxed situations, so I can deal with the more tense raid situations
i guess the point here is even beyond the rotation fixing, just having more muscle memory on the spec will have better results
yea
You've brought up a good few points I hadn't thought of as well, and I can see where they';d need work
I'll get to work on that and see if I can get myself into a better position with it

Really appreciate all the help!
Only other thing I wanna check, is my talent tree looking ok? Not sure if I can link it, but always good to make sure I'm using the right thing for raiding
it looks fine
blade rush may be slightly better than ghostly strike on single target
that is something raidbots top gear can quickly evaluate
but you have a lot of haste so maybe not
it is worth mentioning that you are loaded with haste
enough that it limits how much dmg you can do compared to a better stat profile
Would you recommend I try and get the haste value down a bit and try and get gear with more vers/mastery?
haste is good to a certain point but then it quickly falls off
unfortunately it's hard to say a specific number, but raidbots top gear just tells me what pieces to wear and that's that
very generally crit = vers > mastery and then whatever haste pieces raidbots tells you to wear
oh also you didn't have a phial
i think
ok! I'll try and get more focused into crit and ver if I can then ^^
but also of course item level is still important so its hard to gear with limited choices
What phials would you recommend?
