I've been giga unlucky and not had a single shoulder drop in s2 yet so technically the shoulders sim higher for me. Should I take pacemaker instead since its a goated trinket and just wait for literally any other shoulders to drop so I can catalyse for 4-set?

yes u do have some uses of dance + symbol + sectech inbetween big CDs

u can also have time for one symbol + sectech in a fight due to the three stacks on a 25s cd

and u also have time for a fully dried sectech sometimes, but that s by feeling. Like having 25 30s left on big CDs, knowing that u ll have enough uptime to get it ready for your CDs, all that stuff

definitly worth to learn these timings, but if u mess them up u just lose way way way more than you would ve gained

yea, basically sub is all about preplanning what you ll need to use when, so u can do anything u want as long as you have your important stuff ready for when it matters. It s a lot about feeling and knowledge, which in pugs is kinda inexistant cuz you dont know what s coming next
