@river canyon So I just did replicated the 2.5s one 5 times in a row. It comes down to macroing Vendetta and Sepsis together and pressing them on the exact same tick.
What's interesting is that the order in which your abilities are set in the macro matters.

As you can see from the screenshot, the first Sepsis + Vendetta combo that you pressed on the log was offset very slightly. You pressed Vendetta very, very slightly before you pressed Sepsis. However on the second cast they are used on the exact same tick, which causes Sepsis to double-dip on Vendetta.

But like I said previously, the order in which you macro the abilities together matters. If you do a
/cast Sepsis /cast Vendetta

macro, it will not work. However if you change the order around and use:
/cast Vendetta /cast Sepsis

it should work every single time, assuming you are not gcd/icd locked and able to press both abilities on the exact same tick.

I'd like to emphasize that this is still the same amount of damage, it's just slightly faster/higher burst, but overall won't probably change much.

Tldr though is the way your press goes from your keyboard to blizzard server back to your screen is through a long chain of computers that pass the message along to the next one, these computers have to handle thousands of these a second and some might come a couple nanoseconds later than others. That slight variance 15 times over can lead to the network packets coming in out of order when they arrive at blizzard. They have identifiers which say when they were sent and so it gets re-ordered, but when you macro them together, it’s possible that it “bundles” it into one packet for example, but scrambles it up and sends a vendetta packet as well, so you get a packet that goes “hey vend sepsis and vend”. errors in packet transmission like that happen all the time, and usually get corrected but sometimes if you give it the right timing it just misses it

Networking in general is really complicated

I’m in no way an expert

But dumb shit like that is constant

just got this and sims for assass suggest an upgrade, do i need to know anything about how to use it besides pressing it on cd? should i try to hold 5th rune for vendetta?

to add to this i was checking a sim and it basically uses it pre combat and then on cd to stack up to 4th rune asap only activating it again 30sec before the sims end to get 5th rune. is stacking up to 4th rune and only activating 5th before the boss dies the correct way to use it?

Each m+ run gives 200+ valor. Flux is best in Arena afaik. Basicly you would want to get 2 daggers and the tier slot items asap and upgrade it.

Blizzard made it easier recently but yea; if you arent playing with friends or a guild group; it goes slow

If you like the idea of Doomblade; it used to be good, but it requires constant target-tabbing to spread the bleed too. if you make the effort that is.
