We've found another 1% gain for Assassination, mainly for the Venthyr boys. **With this new apl improvement, our bis profile now beats the Subtlety bis profile by about 120 dps. **

The gain revolved around more aggressive usage of Rupture, Garrote and CT towards the end of Vendetta to take full advantage of the overhang that the 4p provides. This was already something we were doing, but we now have much clearer numbers on when it's best to take advantage of. You most likely don't have to change your playstyle much or at all because of this change, but here are the numbers:

You can simply use my weakauras for Garrote/Rupture, which involve the entire Vendetta logic, and will make the Vendetta windows a lot easier to play around with. Simply put:

• Reapply Garrote if the weakaura lights up.
• Reapply Rupture if the weakaura lights up, and you're at 4-5 combo points.

You can use the weakauras as standalone weakauras or with any other packs of your choosing. Or you can just copy the triggers/conditions to your own weakauras if that's what you prefer:

The technical part and numbers:

Rupture:
You want to reapply a Rupture when Vendetta has 3s left, if your Rupture duration is 8s or less.

Garrote:
You want to reapply Garrote, when Vendetta has 3s or less, if your Garrote duration is 7s or less.

Crimson Tempest:
We do not want to forcefully reapply CT towards the end of Vendetta. Only reapply CT, if it lines up naturally within its pandemic range.

You follow normal pandemic rules during Vendetta - even with Crimson Tempest, meaning that you do not want to reapply any bleeds before they enter pandemic, unless your Vendetta duration is 3s or less, which is when you want to forcefully reapply bleeds to take advantage of the overhang.

It's fine if you have to press Envenom because CT's current duration is higher than 1.8s, which causes CT to drop momentarily.

Main takeaways:

• Do not reapply bleeds before pandemic, unless it's to take advantage of the overhang
• Don't worry if your CT drops during Vendetta because of the above, focus on maintaining Rupture and Garrote as much as possible
• It's pretty much always safe to reapply garrote because the cooldown of the ability limits the use of it naturally, but you only want to reapply Rupture when it's at 8s or less.
• You do NOT want to hold, stall or pool during Vendetta. If you cannot reapply the dots because of their longer duration, you don't go idle for 2s just so you can reapply them. You just continue your normal rotation and reapply when possible without breaking the max-1 cp rule and without pooling.

It's also a great filler ability to press when you are moving. Like an add spawned during this boss fight. It's going to take 2 seconds to run to it. Perfect time to press SBS rather than just wasting GCDs

THE BUG HAS BEEN FIXED

~~Currently Grudge Match, the 2p tier set bonus, is bugged on encounters where you have multiple Assassination Rogues. You can currently only have one active Grudge Match on an enemy, meaning that if you have 2 Assassination rogues use Shiv around the same time, only the person who used Shiv first gets the benefit of the 2p tier set.

You can see from the screenshot linked below how both rogues use Shiv, but only Darkmirror gets the Grudge Match effect, because he was the first one to apply Shiv out of the two. Using Shiv on an enemy will only increase the person applying the debuffs damage, meaning the second person gets no benefit at all.

Refrain from having multiple Assassination Rogues in your raids if possible. You can still run one Assassination Rogue and multiple other specs.~~
