Both are good, the damage breakdown will change quite a bit with different legendaries though.
Jusy play around with both and see which one you like/need more.

If you sim say 10k and you do 9k on a boss but then switch to a covenant that say does 100 DPS less, if you play the exact same you won’t get the same 9k dps by playing the same is my point.
