Exactly what I said. Everytime you sim there is a x dps errormargin. If your gem sims end up within the errormargin it doesnt matter what you socket as far as haste vs mastery goes.

the reason top gear wants to mix strikethrough vers and severe in, is that you do not have other corrupted gear available
so a 15 corruption versatile will be better than another weapon without corruption
