in general tho it appears to be gearing thing @high hatch . im not sure if he has condensed life force rank 3 or not, but if he does he should be using that instead. his trinkets are very sub-optimal, going for razor coral, font of power, or even inkpod are all better choices from the raid. also shrouded suffocation and subterfuge is not the best setup for single target. he could reforge his chest to loyal to the end + twist the knife, reforge his shoulders to double dose + tradewinds, and helmet to double dose + loyal, and run master assassin talent and most likely improve a lot.

I just switched specs to Assassination yesterday and am trying to get the rotation down, but my DPS is significantly lower than when specced Outlaw...Problem is, Outlaw seems great for Mythic content but not Raids due to lower single target damage. I am doing what i can to soak up knowledge and learn...Rolling Rogue seems to be for advanced players , you have to get your rotation down to a science and intuitively know what to do. You have to be super precise to maximize your damage. Definitely not a class for casual players IMO. If you loook at the top DPS charts, Rogues never top the charts. I think Blizz has nerfed to class so much that their DPS is never going to be the overall highest, instead they give utility/CC to the Rogues. Most people don't understand what it truly takes for a Rogue to top the damage meter and they get bitchy. Is good of you to go out of your way to help your guildie out.

@severe sedge Looks like your biggest struggle that jumps out to me is maximizing your TB windows. I see a lot of bleed refreshes/Lucid use/dead time (indicating poor pooling before TB) happening in these windows.

Regarding my post...I meant that I never reach top damage in Raids as Assassination or Outlaw...In Mythics, I top the charts as Outlaw. Global WoW data doesnt list Rogue as the top DPS.

I can't recall, is Galecallers on the GCD? If so, you used that multiple times during TB windows and during a MA window as well which you would really want to avoid.

@rigid mango What I am essentially trying to say is that Outlaw is great for mythics, Assassination is best for single target...In raids as Outlaw, my DPS was severely lacking on Raid bosses....I lliterally just switched to sin yesterday and am learning the rotation. I am simming about 5k less DPS as Assassination , at about 25k DPS whereas as Outlaw I am simming at 30+k...Maybe my comments seem ignorant, I am still in the early learning process tbh. But if you look at the Warcraft logs and other Topd DPS charts, Rogues arent holding top DPS spots. and I am pontification over whether or not that slight lack in Damage is due to the utility rogues have and Blizz's attempt at balancing the classes. If any of that is off base, I am open to correction. Thanks.

Outlaw is really not far off or sin in raw ST, but doesn't generallly out dps boss damage wise, they're much better as a cleave spec. As for m+ sin does more damage than outlaw, it's just much harder to minmax and to play than outlaw.
Rogue is atm, arguably the best class in both forms of content in its respective role
I don't even know if I can call that arguably tbh.

Hey guys, i saw on the ravenholdt guide that toxicblade should be casted on cooldown. Is it not worth it to wait for bursting windows after pooling energy to cast more envenom in the toxicblade buff ?
