Just treat Hidden Blades like the math it is.

Get +20% DMG after 2 seconds or get +200% DMG after 20 seconds

You can hit FoK every 2 seconds for +20% or wait 20 seconds and get 1 FoK off for 200%.

It scales linearly so you don't lose anything for not waiting.

Obviously +200% DMG is going to be more impressive when you have other DMG amplifiers stacked, but you don't get many options for that.

In reality you are spamming FoK more than every 2 seconds (GCD is 1second) so saving for the 200% burst might actually just be a DPS loss.

Do keep in mind what is coming up though; much like managing your CDs, hitting FoK on ~2 targets with Reaping coming up after the current pack might not be your best use of your GCDs and instead it might be better to simply MUT the remaining trash down.

Question for you guys, I have two rogues. One has 2 EB, 2 SS, 1BR, 1TtK and uses PB. Other one has 3 EB, 2SS, 1 RF and uses HB.

I did FH on both, on the 2 EB one I had 20% garrote, 14% FoK and 12% EB, On the one with 3 EB, I had 22% Garrote, 17% FoK but only 8% EB.

Any reason why EB is way lower with 3? His iLvl is lower since he's kinda new but I was under the impression that 3 EB would be higher

has blizzard ever documented how tab targeting works? I've noticed that sometimes if you hit tab while mobs are casting, it'll prioritize targeting them first. really useful for garrote silence. but if you had targeted them recently then it seems less likely to target one of them. curious how exactly this is supposed to work, sometimes it feels so random but sometimes it's like it can read my mind

it used to prioritize marked mobs/mobs with a spotlight, so if you had your nameplates set up to spotlight mobs that were using interruptible spells, those would be prioritized

hey guys, been playing assa the whole expansion, havent seriously tried outlaw for m+ and so far I'm pretty happy with what I do in aoe and ST, slowly working my way up and currently at +12-+13 keys. not entirely sure if it will get an issue going higher keys? i love the silence and kidney shot over what outlaw offers. I mainly see only outlaw rogues running around, not feeling like switching but on the other hand I don't want to become a drawback for the team

I don’t have a lot of azerite gear tbh! I just run 3xss and 3xeb regardless of the week. Works for my group comp cause we have a marksman hunter that wrecks the bosses

Yeah tbh, we don’t chain pull too much so I always get a second to restealth or the healer to drink w/e. So garotte damage is really nice like usually 9k of my dps is from garotte

This week I find my team chain pulling, a lot. I am still running 2 eb/1 ss/1 ttk/ 1 BI/ 1 NP (I dont have the best Azerite, its actually all 385)

I was running 3 SS but with chain pulling, even as a NE, its hard

and without chain pulling its even harder to time an 18

#

I mean without chain pulling we are finding timers within 1 minute, instead of say 5-7 minutes left

If u wanna chain pull eb is the best and so is SoB, im still running 2ep, 3 ss, 1 sob, and im ending 15-16 with 30-36k overall, though u need another really good dps that can also st hard.

Yeah I mean on big trash pull EB is my biggest damage source anyway so the chain pulls don’t hurt me too much and SS is there for bosses and a nice bonus on trash when I get a restealth

the all round build is 2 EB 2 SS 2 TTK. but theres a lot of room to tweak your damage based on what you need with different traits

Triple SS x2 BI x1 EB was a popular build on tournament realm for example
