It’s just because of the push, yeah. I’m talking in a vacuum, each fight is different. Having good dps is just as much about adapting your rotation to the fight as it is about knowing how to hit a target dummy.

Yeah but it’s really not that big of a deal. Takes a little bit to get used to, but after a few pulls you start to realize, why would I cast envenom here when I can wait 5s, not waste any energy, and increase its damage by 30%

@gentle mist use GCB before exsanguinate, exsang snapshots your current haste for the duration of the empowered dots. 2nd GCB should be used on CD (2nd and 3rd exsang on cd as well), but then around 2 mins it changes. Hold your 3rd GCB ~15s to line up with 4th exsang and 2nd vendetta/vanish

Interesting. I thought the haste proc was what made subterfuge better, but I guess not. I have blightborne and DD, and blightborne sims higher somehow, even running MA (at same ilvl). Herodamage sims aren’t 100% accurate for each individual, but the traits seem extra fucky to me

MA actually fucking sucks if you do the math. If your base crit chance is 20%, with MA buff you only have a 49% chance to get a 4 combo pt mut

I don't have a group to do keys with really and I don't really enjoy doing them in PuGs so much. I take care of my weekly +10 at the least and usually leave it at that.

@peak harbor ideally you are looking to use TB with lots of energy, but not if you are delaying TB. Use TB on cd, limit your energy usage when TB is not active. You should basically just be refreshing rupture outside of TB, spare envenoms can likely be held until Tb is up

before haste scaled tick rates were 2sec. then 1sec with exang. so Now, they are between 1.4 and 1.8 seconds, so exang is an awkward number. so apparently it does the math prior, so it can establish tick counts. Good thing for us, esp when using things like GCB.

If your raid isn't having trouble killing adds, then focusing boss, and rupturing adds for energy is your best plan. Using vanish like you mentioned is how I did it as well. If you are talking about mythic, the most significant part is not messing up during the intermissions, so you don't gain extra stacks of the debuff. Because if you get 6 stacks before 3rd intermission, your parse is fucked.

@cinder sparrow It depends on how much melee your raid has, but for the most part, getting 6 stacks will just lead to you having to spend too much time off the boss, and will ruin your damage. Seems to be far more significant than anything else, looking at logs

@wary reef its dependent on dungeon, and how coordinated your group is. If you're in a pug with mongos that will aoe tiny adds that sub wants to be kept up for cp, its not effective

I tend to just play with friends, we want to push though, were just not as reliable as we wish we could be, I tend to avoid pugs if I can. Our groups consists of fire mage, balance druid, disc priest and brewmaster. Noticed this week with bursting that because were all dot classes, even though we want to stop stacks from ticking higher, our dots just blow random enemies anyways, so I was thinking of going sub for that or just to move away from all of us being a dot spec

the issue is, our M+ group is running 12/13s at the moment with a prot warrior. He can't take 5+ targets so we go slower. I feel like I'm losing DPS running things like CT and Scent of Blood when I know our run will consist of 3t packs

Yeah in that scenario, I would recommend TB/PB. A lot of the value you get out of crit in AoE is coming from the combo point generation from FoK, which generates a combo point each time it crits. So lets take your M+ scenario for example. You pull packs of 3 and are simply not able to generate enough combo points for efficient finishers

in the ravenholdt guide it says to use vendetta in tandem with vanish if you have shrouded suffocation, but it also says in the opener to vanish when garrote is about to run out

so i had 3x ss when the game started and before (even called my team to double check their traits) match started, my gar did 0 dmg. i wrote to the admin to fix this that my ss not working (it got bugged in the tourney server) he told me just "keep play" after the match he said"cant change it anymore" end of story. So i was arguing through the match with the admin to get the remake cause my traits were not working and i got the sub traits instead of my 3xss, but never got a rerun.

40 sec for 10-12 1 min for 13-15 and if you pull alot sim 5-6 if you pull small groups 3-4

I usually use it as soon as possible, because then the 1st few bleed ticks until exsg are also buffed by haste, and whole exsg is buffed by it anyway due to snapshotting

What trinkets are good for running mythic 10+? I just got a 380 Azerokk's Resonating Heart. My current trinkets for m+ are Dead-Eye Spyglass(370) and Harlan's Loaded Dice(365 /w socket)

you usually have to move out of your galecallers for one reason or another, so you cant use it as efficiently

and doomswake is a very good trinket

#

its just that spyglass/dice are better overall, whereas doomswake gives you a little more control over when it affects you

but assa doesnt have great aoe CDs or anything to use it with

we're king of sustained aoe, on-use trinkets dont work that well with that. its obviously very strong for singletarget, same as galecaller

its just that SS is so broken for most m+ situations, that it cant compete

i run double scent and its great for gigapulls

doing 70k sustained on aoe on a 10+ mob pull feels amazing

but then you have 3-4 mob pulls where SS just completely outscales traits like archive or scent

I play with doom's wake + Dice during fortified. It is possible to make a good use of Doom during big pulls. I open normally, pop multiple Rupture then use Doom's wake, vanish apply 3 garrote, meld apply 3 other garrote and I manage to deal insane amount of damage

2xSS is mandatory for m+. the third slot can be a third SS, but it can also be the knife fan one or something. Archive is less effective in m+ since you not getting the ray bonus

Okay, so for example, I have Dread Gladiator's Badge, which is an on use 1590 agil for 15 seconds. I looked at the tooltip and my Garrote ticks for 4643 every 1.7s and if I apply trinket before garrote, it ticks 5258 every 1.7s. I've tried to apply bleeds and pop trinket after and it doesn't change the tooltip.

youre a melee dps youre constantly moving back and fourth to the boss. It makes more sense to use TB since its easier, when you use exsan you have to be able to burst then reapply
