treat it as any situ;ation where you can maintain rupture on 3 targets to be fine. since one cast every 12 seconds isn't a big deal. you need to hold rupture on 3 targets. that's 3 casts every 20-24 seconds. garrote is 1 every 6. (9 if you only want it on 2 targets). crimson tempest is once every 12.

Everyone always says sim, but my SS pieces are 340 340 355. Otherwise I have 385 370 385 pieces with garbage traits. the higher ilvl still sim higher though for me (even on bloodmallet and hero it lists the worst 385/370 traits being higher than our best 340’s). My tank wants me to use the higher pieces for the additional stam/survivability I’ll have for higher keys, but I tell him how messed up our traits vs ilvl for Azerite pieces are right now. Anybody forgo 340 SS’s for m+ for 385 pieces with garbage traits? By garbage they have fan of blades lol

I feel like the minimum m+ should be 2x Ss and then your best high ilvl piece that would work for the situation. Like this week I’m finding a lot of success running 2x 340 helm and chest SS and then a scent of blood shoulder 385.

Strictly m+ otherwise sim for raid. It’s hard to sim for m+ cause it’s so situational. But you know you’ll consistently be pulling packs so the 2 ss traits works well. If you have 3 run the three. But on tyrannical I’ve been running 2 with the scent of blood trait.

What do you guys use for gear comparison in game? I've been using pawn which was giving preference to a ring with worse stats (as per my weighting) but with a socket. When I ran the numbers manually it never came out better even if I'd have swapped the haste for Agi. Also, it keeps recommending the haste gems even though I dont currently have an agi one equipped and agi has higher weighting at the moment.

if it's identical to the current one Im using, I'd takea 5 ilvl MH upgrade over a 10 ilvl gear upgrade, depending on the stats.

at the end of the day though, ilvl doesnt really mean what blizzard wants it to mean, and you should just always do a gear compare sim

Honestly I'd go the 370 with archive and 2 x SS archive will make the magnitude of all abilities stronger along with the flat increase to agi it would likely more than cover your thoroughput decrease from having one less SS

so before anyone says sim yourself, its just a simple question. i have 325 ilvl shoulders with shrouded suffocation, but just got lfr 340 shoulders with scent of blood. do i use the lfr 340's or stick with the 325's?
