Not Mut specific, but CoS and Feint are OP on that fight. Don't be afraid to press them. You can also dodge the Scythes that go across the ground, so you can pop Evasion and stand in them for better uptime if there are bad spawns.

this may be a noobish question, but: i get 2 CP on normal hits of mutilate, 4 guaranteed under shoulder buff, but sometimes 3. Can the 2 daggers crit separately or what?

yeah its called mutilate and mutilate off-hand
they are both giving you 1 combo point base, if either crit its 1 more combo point

if I remember correctly its 2 base line and +1 for each crit
thats why you sometimes get 3 combo point with shoulder, because 1 hand got parried
