Simulations Have Gotten Updates

Things are now much more accurate and in a clearer spot than before. Profiles have been submitted and will soon show up on the simulationcraft page and bloodmallet and whatever other website. Yes there will be a video going over this as well with some updated notes and findings at some point (mythic+ opens up at 11am, it's 4am as of writing this, I am so tired), wowhead guide is still accurate but there might be some minor things like some trinket or weird niche rotation step I need to adjust.

Last note is if you're simming yourself, make sure to do so using the "Latest" option under the SimC Version setting.
Everything under this sentence is just detailed explanation about what happened and is mostly yapping.

Need Advil for My Headaches

YIPPIE your damage went up!!! This is due to numerous reasons, but the short of it is that simulations (and the game) have had a lot of issues in the backend over the last couple of weeks that have required new testing, troubleshooting, implementation changes, etc.

One example of an impactful change was a hidden update to the in-game attributes assigned to Deathmark. Instead of using the standard Apply Aura (6) flag, it quietly changed to Apply Party Aura (35) instead at some unknown point in time, which caused Deathmark to no longer double the damage of garrote/rupture/poisons in simulations. For a bit it was also suspected this would cause rogues in a party to benefit from each others Deathmarks, but this was disproven after testing. This is just one example of some of the absolute spaghetti jank that has been problematic, but there was also caustic spatter randomly cratered from 98% to 16% uptime for seemingly no reason one day, apex lashes were acting strange, talents randomly didn't work anymore, DTB's poison application reduction randomly was 33.5% instead of 30%, secondary poisoning wasn't proccing from non-lethals correctly, etc etc etc I'm probably forgetting so much more.

All of which comes alongside the usual expansion-release issues of Trinkets and Tuning and other weird things (Alnseer had five updates in sims yesterday to account for its equally confusing spaghetti code). In short, things have been an absolute mess, thank you for sticking it out and being patient while I rip my hair out and go bald with anger ❤️

Short answer:
Not really, talents and items and stuff all seem to be pretty much the same on first glance, but it's possible we're replacing some 2% talent with some other 2% talent I guess. Improved Garrote might be slightly better than previously thought. Gear/Stats/Embellishments/Hero Talents/Anything Else is mostly stable, as recommendations were done mostly with log data, not sims.

Longer answer:
There are some sequencing and min-max things that have changed as a result of this, including:

• Puzzle Box has gotten much stronger (around +1 to +1.5% depending on situation), and should now be cast before Deathmark in sequences (envenom->puzzlebox->deathmark->kingsbane)
• Vanish with Improved Garrote should be synced with Deathmark only IF there is not an add wave coming soon, and you won't lost a cast of vanish. For sim purposes in Dungeonslice as an example, this takes the form of the boss dying before the 2:00 deathmark can be used fully, and so vanish is simply used on cooldown. If the boss were 3min long instead, you would sync. In actual usages in-game, you would still want to adjust to fight mechanics/add spawns as necessary.
• Some other sim optimizations were made but these are mostly to cover some edge cases and shouldn't affect your play, including spreading bleeds better without crimson tempest talented, allowing ambush on pull if talented into specifically blindside + imp ambush + not shrouded, adding time_to_die checks to avoid sending cooldowns on adds that will instantly explode, and burning off remaining energy at the end of a fight.

Imo Delves are only worth it once you get delvers bounty 2 and 4, and nightmare weekly quest for forced trovehunter bounty
You can just do 8’s until you unlock gilded cache then do 11s
