Morning, i have a small question. I know the season is more or less over but i recently got into assassination and enjoying it so far. However i dont fully understand the deathstalker tierset. What exactly is it supposed to do for me in aoe/big pulls? Is it mostly about the funnel damage and more single target or am i missing something?

the 2 piece increases the damage of all your damage effects, so clear the witnesses, corrupt the blood, singular focus, lingering darkness, also increases the damage effects of follow the blood, and darkest night

darkest night is more envenom damage -> more spatter damage

the 4 piece makes your shiv have higher uptime, and then also cycles the mark faster so you get more darkest nights

You can sim that, but our side stats matter so little on assa that its litteraly a 0.1% 0.2% 0.3% increase that it does not matter.

if you go to top gear you can put the same crafted piece in with all the different stats like 8 of them and it shows you whats best

in M+, after doing some tests with SimC, it shows that adding haste slightly increases my single-target damage — should I focus entirely on crit and mastery instead, or should I add some haste to improve ST? You can sim dungeonslice for m+. Also dont hold dm for after the boss. Dm is mainly a single target cd it does nearly nothing in aoe. Getting dm in execute is huge for the singletarget without it its really grim.

Depends on how fast you’re killing

On prog you should be able to get a full usage on the platform and then a near full usage on the dragon

But as with everything else that turbo boost ruins

People are killing the dragon outright before that cd set comes up

So people have been holding on platforms

There’s also range issue with logs if you’re looking at individuals
