A lot of classes have “bad” stats that are just pure atrocious

Like haste on sub

Is just depressingly bad

Assassination just has interactions with Crit through combo points, haste increases tick rate of bleeds and gives energy/applies more poisons through faster autos, mastery is well tuned

So you end up with a spec where there are no “bad” stats

Fatebound wants a bit more crit because it’s got a lot of crit synergies, deathstalker has crit inbuilt to darkest night which devalues it, haste is really good on a bleed build for all the bleed ticks, but worse on something like cleave or hybrid

so they end up building the stats that are left

my M+ damage is simming about 6.6m but whenever i run a key, i usually am around 5.5m or lower. i assume this a rotational issue. are there any good resources for specifics on rotation in m+ specifically?

I'm also having a hard time understanding stat balances, mastery/crit and others. I've spent so much on gems and enchants and i can't see to figure out those ideal stat weights for sin.

Hello! M+ ain't my main strong suit so I don't want to advise all too much on that front - but damage in M+ can vary dependent on group setup, tank pulls etc.

In regards to stat weights, we don't really hate any stats, they're all pretty solid. Bleed build likes a little bit more haste but the golden rule is just to sim your upgrades and go from there.

About pooling - nah - just hit buttons.

Though resources for M+ rotation - check out the wowhead guide I'd reckon

as said above, routing is a key factor, ilvl, tanks pulling onto bosses etc. best option would be for you to link a log of a key, so people can look at rotational issues. though like above i'm not that good at m+ logs

and forgo garrotes until you are comfortable

if nothing else those two will carry a good 70% of your aoe damage

for ruptures 5 is the minimum, you can go above it if you'd like / if you expect the mobs to be ruptured to live some time

it would be best to mentally consider your rotation as 3 seperate priority lists, one inside Ic, one for generators and one for spenders

and don't feel bad for not "getting it" right away, it takes some getting used to as you have 4 seperate plates to juggle (caustic, ct, rupture and garotte)

5 on your main target, 4 is technically find on the other targets if they're not going to live long enough

there's nothing inherently "wrong" with low cp ruptures on off-targets per say aside from crap energy efficiency

right right, that's what i was wondering because it doesn't consume a mark but it still technically does the same damage

in the vast majority of cases, it's just better to use the cp to spatter envenoms regardless, but if you specifically need the energy in order to last yourself to the end of the pack and the pack is also not alive long enough to justify 5cp ruptures, then that's fine
