Rik Reverb Barrels (and similar spread cleave in raid)
- Not your problem.
- Assassination is the worst target swapping spec in the game, and we have no tools available to deal with the situation of priority spread cleave. Caustic can reach sometimes but similar to fire mage, the boss needs to be on top of the adds, causing caustic to often be out of range.
- If you're truly hellbent on swapping to barrels, hold your nearest darkest night and just slam a darkest night envenom into them and pray. If you're quick enough you can also pool combo points/energy and cast a rupture on a barrel to try and caustic off of them. This still will not do good barrel damage, again, the spec is doomed for it
- Another possible option would be talenting into Crimson Tempest by untalenting Bone Spike and Doomblade. This CAN TECHNICALLY provide a bit of barrel damage, but the spawns need to be immaculate and any difficult spawns will just result in no barrel damage again.
With all that, the best advice we have for swapping barrels: - Swap to Subtlety.

If you cannot defeat Kyveza, do not bother showing up to raid. This boss is a baseline mechanics check. If you cannot handle mechanics while maintaining a strong DPS or HPS rotation, you will only drag the group down on the harder fights ahead.
This is not optional. This is not "just a warm-up boss." This is the fight that tells us whether you can balance your gameplay fundamentals aka: awareness, movement, uptime, and performance but all at once. If you fail here, you will fail later.
If you can't be bothered to put in the hours to grind this fight, you are disrespecting the other 25 players on this roster who are putting in the work. This is a preparatory fight for a multi-week raid, and it requires commitment. If you can't commit now, you won't commit later.
You all said you wanted to improve as a raid and get a better ranking. That doesn't start with someone else carrying you, it starts with you improving your own gameplay. If you can't do that, you're dead weight. And yes, I'm talking to you, you slug.
And before anyone even thinks about saying, "my class isn't designed for this encounter" fucking save it. You played your dmg windows wrong. The sequenze as fb is always Shiv > DM> KB and on the solo kb you want to shiv for the end of the kb. You did kb directly into shiv most of the time. You also missed 1 cast of kb and what i noticed you have quite a few finisher at 4 or less cp which should not happen if its not a rapture snipe.
I took also a quick look at your dimi kill and there you also played your cd windows wrong. Thats the first thing you should try to fix.

Crafting a second dagger would just be upgrading your useless offhand from who cares to who cares but also 720 and instantly garbage when you get a myth dagger

The only time I’d ever recommend crafting a second dagger is deadass if you have nothing else to do with your crests for myth items you have, and you already crafted 4-5 slots, and you’re not raiding mythic, and you have a lot of vault upgrades left like tier slots or something

youre way better off crafting neck, rings, belt before 2nd dagger
because if you dont have mythic raid vaults the 60 crests is the same as you save from upgrading if you get same slot from vault, so youre just down a spark
