1. Not using Deadly/Amplifying poison (or its not applied to your target)

or if that is horrible for you just gquit, it's a game you don't really owe anyone anything, even if I feel like I do at times

also best tip for climbing wr / improving in general is shoot as high as you can

best time to learn is when you have the pressure of being trial and weaker /weakest player in the roster

i've noticed I am really solid now compared to pre-sl before I went through like 10 guilds or something

it helped me learn what really matters, shed the ego and play for the kill / team and what I really wanted out of the game.

Running out of energy in single target is completely normal, intended design of Assassination. As a burst spec our damage is mainly loaded into Deathmark/Shiv and massive Envenoms through stacking multiple nature damage buffs such as Lingering Darkness, Shiv, Darkest Night, Amplifying Poison, and more. This comes with the natural downside of our damage suffering outside of these windows, in part due to the designed lack of energy slowing us down.

Because of this, there is only one minor (0.3%) min-max with energy, which is pooling 3-4 seconds into an upcoming Kingsbane. Ideally this would put you at around 50-60% energy before you enter your Kingsbane, which is more than enough energy alongside thistle tea. My Hunter, even if played poorly, at least has Bloodlust. For single-target fights, I'm barely keeping up with the tank's DPS. For AoE, I have to micromanage DoTs on every mob while also watching my energy bar. I'm constantly spamming defensive cooldowns, and my self-healing skills can't stop for a second. Sometimes, when the tank pulls mobs into water, I'm just left standing there, useless. Honestly, aside from the cool transmogs, this class feels like it has nothing going for it.

  Fan of Knives with Darkest Night Up:
• Only on 2+ targets, or without Vicious Venoms talented. This is also a very very minor optimization

The most important to remember is the generator rules, clear the witnesses and darkest night optimizations can be effectively ignored as they are not meaningful DPS improvements
