I topped raid dps on Gallywix mythic on my hunter, rank 13 or something and the log was like blue or purple bc there were basically no sv kills on it

Hello guys, I will tell you a story that I still couldn't believe
Im playing wow since 2004 and Ive seen a lot of bugs, but this one is special
So yesterday night was a raid night, the plan with my guild was to reclear heroic till Salhadaar, the one we are in progress with
On Fractulius I noticed something strange: impossible to dump combo point during KB/CB window, or at least very hardly: my envenom just won't cast (or they don't drop combo point)
I thought there was a big lag, the thing (I will call it the bug) lasted approximately 1 minute
From this moment - every pull - until the end of the raid (so for 2 hours, on 3 different boss, cause we down H Salhadaar and then prog H Dimensius) I've had the bug, happening when I start my opener specifically KB/CB window
The bug, in detail, is : at one point after casting KB my character start try spamming either mutilate each GCD or envenom each GCD
I was going crazy so I took all those pulls as experiment to find the bug.
Reboot wow ? Still the bug
Without the macro ? Still the bug
Without the mouse disconnected ? (Cause both mutilate and envenom are mapped on my Bluetooth mouse) : still the bug
With the MM+ bleed build (so no KB) : NOT THE BUG
Come back to raid build: tried swapping talent: still the bug
Tried swapping spec: still the bug
Tried swapping hero talent: still the bug
Crazy here : untarget the boss: still the bug : the game "find" the boss in range and attack it
So I was going so mad that after the raid I tried to reproduce the bug on a target dummy
Turns out I succeed: I did a considerable number of test
So I find the guilty : my trinket : Unyielding Netherprism : without the trinket I won't bug !!!!!!

TLDR : unless Im completely crazy, I found a bug involving Unyielding Netherprism that, in interaction with KB specifically, enter a undefined period of time (on target dummy I can reproduce the bug for 5 minutes straight) in which the character start spamming either mutilate OR envenom (never both in the same bug window) ; in either case the game is unplayable ; until you "break" the bug, like by running out of range and stop doing anything for a few seconds

I’m pretty new to the game, and even more to this spec.
I mostly play M+, but I’ve just started my raiding journey.

In M+ with DS, I think I’m doing pretty well, nothing to worry about there.
I did most of the HM raid (only Dimensius left) with FS, but I often find myself among the lowest on the DPS meter.

I’ve been following the Wowhead guide and rotation, but I’m still far behind. I checked my logs and compared them with stronger players. The main difference I noticed is that they stack way more Critical Strike than me, while I have more Mastery.

Should I be focusing on Crit instead? Why does Wowhead recommend the opposite? Is there a point where you stop prioritizing one stat and switch to another?
Or am I missing something else entirely?

There are no "recommended stat levels" or "breakpoint of X stat" or "required" amount of any stats. This is an outdated way to think about stats and simply is not relevant to the spec. If you're looking for a quick recommendation: Agi >> Crit = Mastery >= Haste > VersatilityIt's always more accurate to simulate your own character, as stat procs from trinkets/enchants can often de-value their stat relative to others. Stats are not a rigid construct, their values change constantly in relation to each other depending on your character.

• Signet of the Priory will require you have Mastery as your highest RATING (the actual number, not the %). Having Crit and Mastery close to one another will cause procs from Flask or Seaforium Pacemaker to cause your Signet to give you Crit. This is generally worse and will cause Signet to sim poorly.
• Compared to each other, Deathstalker wants more Mastery/Haste than Fatebound, and Fatebound wants more Crit than Deathstalker
• Always Always ALWAYS sim yourself through Top Gear and Droptimizer for accurate results

• Only on 2+ targets, or without Vicious Venoms talented. This is also a very very minor optimization

The most important to remember is the generator rules, clear the witnesses and darkest night optimizations can be effectively ignored as they are not meaningful DPS improvements
