I have a somewhat weird question to ask you guys and galls. I have played a rogue as an alt since tww beginning, and I personally love assassinations bleed spread playstyle. One thing that does become troublesome specifically in keys, is the power gain from stealth. My friend who plays a tank, finds it super annoying to not chain pull in order to let me gain stealth inbetween pulls. When I don't enter a fresh pull with stealth, I feel so much weaker I.e. slower energy regen, smaller burst etc.

How do you guys deal with this in keys, especially pugs? This interaction is probably the main reason I can't bring myself to main one currently.

I might just be hella bad which is also fair, but im genuinely curious.

Explanation of why stealth benefits aren't as important as you might think:

• For starters, "Chain pulls" are NOT when the tank pulls a new pack with 1% hp remaining on the previous mobs. That is called "Bad Tanking", and it sucks for everyone in your party.
• Correct Chain pulls usually happen while the previous pack is still alive and not dangerous. This increases uptime on more targets, which is the biggest increase in DPS for the entire party. This is also the biggest reason why you see high key level players doing so much damage.
• Garrote is roughly 7-9% of people's damage in a key, most of which is already empowered/cleaved
• Most energy spreading will come from Rupture to maintain scent of blood, not garrote
• Without a Trace (+1 vanish charge) only grants roughly 2 additional casts across a whole dungeon, but does allow for holding vanish for large chain pulls which improves the quality of each vanish
• You can argue that it "feels bad", but numerically there is very little ground to stand on, the dps simply isn't there.

See, there's the thing.
Fatebound treats Prism like a 3min CD. You don't use it off the bat like typical trinkets.
Your DM is 1.5min with 4pc, so you send DM on pull like normal and then again when it's off CD. But you don't use Prism until the 3rd DM 3 minutes into the fight. Then you repeat that and do it again at the 6min mark.
So if you're simmimg 5min fights then you're not getting that 2nd Prism use at 18 stacks.
