regarding it, I'm currently r6 on that boss, while being only one on top 10 that did 100m to tangles, obviously because we have bad dmg on them so it was needed.
Our team had to go with a bit too many melees on it, and it showed on the amount of dmg we missed on tangles.
I'd say I was not hard gimped by doing it, but it needs to be a bit pre planned, leave some combos for it, step on the second one , not the first one if possible, so your dots can actually tic for a bit, and slam atleast an envenom into execute

Yeah, sub strat is probs big 1.30s on boss only, then send 2x dances in between on tangles, but they will probably die before dance ends and you end up tanking damage massively unless you save all your steps and there's no puddles under boss.

• Assassination is the worst target swapping spec in the game, and we have no tools available to deal with the situation of priority spread cleave. Caustic can reach sometimes but similar to fire mage, the boss needs to be on top of the adds, causing caustic to often be out of range.
• If you're truly hellbent on swapping to barrels, hold your nearest darkest night and just slam a darkest night envenom into them and pray. If you're quick enough you can also pool combo points/energy and cast a rupture on a barrel to try and caustic off of them. This still will not do good barrel damage, again, the spec is doomed for it
• Another possible option would be talenting into Crimson Tempest by untalenting Bone Spike and Doomblade. This CAN TECHNICALLY provide a bit of barrel damage, but the spawns need to be immaculate and any difficult spawns will just result in no barrel damage again.
  With all that, the best advice we have for swapping barrels:
• Swap to Subtlety.

It is indeed about different things, but mainhand weapon damage is the biggest factor. Other than that its stuff like agility, mastery and vers for example, if you look at face value. But as I said, comparing the actual damage values doesnt hold much value in itself

my suggestion as well is crafting a 720 dagger and try again - Check how fatebound really works around your cooldowns. Your hand of fate damage is a bit low in your logs but that can be a result of your gear - not sure.

• you vanish for double jeopardy, a Fatebound talent
• this causes your next flip to flip an additional coin, and this coin can be an edge-case coin
• because of this, you want to vanish when you know the next flip is an edge-case flip
• edge case flips happen as a result of pressing deathmark, kingsbane, or the two envenoms afterwards which are affected by cold blood. You can vanish before ANY of these flips.
• you should be vanishing every 3 minutes, lining up with every other deathmark, and this will also align with netherprism every 3 minutes for maximum burst

I know buildchoice might be wrong, I just find adds and stuff are dying to fast (exception being Forgeweaver, however I ran FB because I'm sick of losing my deathmark to pillars and other bugs and would rather do ST I have some control over).

Broad rules and Section in Guide:

1. If you have to ask, you should play bleed
2. If you're not doing +20's or higher, you should play bleed
3. Even if you're doing higher, you should probably play bleed
4. No, Fatebound is not good, you play Deathstalker in every key.

Some general concepts as to why people play different things:

• 11.2/Season 3: Bleed has gotten stronger through some buffs and the single target damage you get from singular focus is ridiculously good with the tier set. During PTR testing many high end rogues were just playing bleed everywhere.
• Ease of play: Bleed build is simply the easiest to play due to subterfuge/no kingsbane/less need for giant prio targets
• Boss damage: The cleave build is mainly for boss damage (note: not prio, there is no significant difference in prio). Assa single target in keys is pretty bad, and some bosses during season 2 were not possible on high keys otherwise. It remains to be seen what push keys in Season 3 will bring in that regard.
• Specific Dungeons: Rookery as an example is very boss-heavy, especially the last boss, making bleed less ideal. Rookery is not in the rotation in Season 3, and there are a lot of AoE dungeons. Dawnbreaker might be a candidate, but unsure currently.
• Where the damage is: Bleed spreads out its damage and does great overall due to sudden demise and powerful 3-8 target damage. Hybrid is competitve but doesn't pull ahead outside of low target cleave and higher target AoE. Cleave is for single target damage and insanely large aoe because of how much caustic and crimson tempest carry aoe damage. At the end of the day, the builds are extremely similar, but Bleed is looking to simply be the best.

Open with ambush if first pack
Garotte,garotte, rupture,rupture, build with garotte if not all have otherwise FoK, mutilate then CT.
After everything use shiv and trinket, pop vanish to refresh garotte/rupture.

So i go on first full Rotation on Prio Target and then i spread up or i start directly after Opening with Ambush to spread to other Targets?

Actually my damage isn't that bad in M+, but on a flood i lose against a Retri by any chance. i usually end up on 7-8M DPS Overall

Ambush your big target of the group
Garrote (3 targets) - Rupture (3 targets) - Rupture (2 targets in case you do not use mouseover macros or don't swap to a target w/o rupture) - Garrotes (same as the previous rupture) - CT everything - Mutilate to get caustic UP and use CDs.

• Important: During IC use garrote as a builder, this way you're spreading improved garrotes;
• Try keeping at least 5 ruptures up for Scent of Blood;
• CD's your big prio target and splash dmg off of him;
• Use vanish to reaply bleeds if you feel like it and it is not a wasted vanish bcs targets are low HP

its hard to analyse m+ logs, but your crimson tempest should be highest and your spatter second highest damage, if you are doing low keys dont bother rupturing more than 2 times

just get scent of blood going and start blasting

How do we get devs to notice class changes that we want? a 8-10% buff on Mutilate and Ambush would balance out our Single Target damage without boosting our AoE profile.
