• Otherwise nothing matters. Pooling before kingsbanes isn't important because of tea lining up and deathmark giving a huge surge of energy

A dps mate of mine recommended to do patchwork 8 targets 1.5 min sims because that's pretty close to what m+ pulls are like.. I think Dungeon slice is good for a mix of fights but I believe the pulls in that sim are usually smaller than what you'd experience pushing higher keys in an experienced group

We get within a couple % with sims cause we have comparisons and we know what dslice prefers, what patchwerk prefers. Like we can’t possibly sim m+, so we can’t just plug into sims and go “this better ” it’s about understanding the class and what things are better in what situations and going from there

Realistically if you’re talking in this discord or even reading pins you’re already like top 10% of the community knowledge wise and even then the majority of people do not have the education or the ability to understand a simulation further than “green number mean more damage”. And that’s not trying to be elitist or whatever, even the new theorycrafters in other classes often just slam changes into the sims because higher=better, not because it actually makes the model more accurate and it’s a serious problem everywhere

I have another question, so for my aoe, is this 'Crimson Tempest' or 'fan of knives', or is 'fan of knives' used to spready poisons on serveral enemies, withing the rotation guidem it mentions keeping garrot/rupture up 100% of the time, does this mean on one single target, or do I try apply it on multiple targets, or is this wasting energy, because atm , I am finding it hard to get energy quick, and I am always keeping sliced and dice up with 6 combo points, does energy regen get quicker the level

Like I know it doesn't matter as im not level 80, but I do like to learn the rotation whilst leveling, this was a dmg summary of a dungeon

There’s 2 types of people generally, there’s the people that will sim and see +200 dps and equip it insta, and there’s the people that don’t need to care about 4-5% dps differences (basically anyone out of title range m+ or race).

For people A, the sim will NEVER be accurate enough at modeling a fight or even a class to allow for that sort of brain off auto equipping. Just not possible

For people B they don’t need to really sim regardless. In season 1 people were getting m+ title using builds that were objectively like 5-8% worse but were played just because “feels better and in this one VERY niche thing it’s maybe better I think perhaps”, so if you’re doing 12’s and shit who cares about your dungeonslice lowkey ya know?
