Indiscriminate Carnage Targetting and Swapping

• The 2 Bleeds spread by carnage are smart and will prioritize mobs without the bleed. If everything already has bleeds it'll apply randomly
• You as the character are still casting the bleed against your target like normal, this is why people will sometimes use mouseover macros or swap targets

Swapping targets is situationally better, but can be ignored if you're having difficulties with it. Take 5 mob aoe as an example, your first garrote cast will apply to 3 targets (your target + 2 more). Regardless of if you swap or not, your second cast of garrote will hit your target, and then apply 2 more garrotes, prioritizing the mobs that do not have garrote. In very large aoe pulls (12 or more), a standard opener (garrote-garrote-rupture-rupture-garrote-garrote) will only apply 9 garrotes (3+2+2+2) and 5 ruptures (3+2) if you do not swap, losing you 3 garrotes and a rupture.

It is technically worse, but the situations in which you lose bleeds aren't very common; the lost ruptures/garrotes don't contribute much to your already flooded energy, you don't get additional scent of blood stacks, etc. The loss is purely the extra damage from those bleeds.

Are we using fan of knives to build combo points and spending with crimson tempest (as in, refreshing the DoT as soon as we hit 5+ combo points, which is usually after one fan cast), or do we spend with envenom?

Hello all, I searched the channel and found someone stating that it's better to mutilate the funnel target to gain combo points rather then Fan of Knives in dungeon pack situations. Usually I would mutilate once, get the debuff and then Fan of Knives into envenoms. Seems to generate more combo points, which means more envenoms. Yet it does less caustic spatter damage somehow.

I can't seem to find anywhere that explains why you do more dmg with caustic if you mutilate > envenom instead of Fan of Knives > Envenom. Was hoping someone with more game knowledge could explain. Cheers!

in both of these you're just giga undergeared idk, the heroic one you send has no on use trinket, the mythic one you're casting way too early for some reason and losing skardyns for the end of your cds, just macro it to deathmark. Not seeing any embellishments. rotataionally looking at the heroic log your shivs seem real whack for some reason, the attached screenshot has an example, it's not covering kingsbane at all, second screenshot shows your cooldowns just being all over the place. Idk it seems like you know what you're doing for the most part, the openers are generally fine, but you're legit 10 ilvl behind, missing both embellishments, and you're being a bit sloppy with your shivs/sequencing later in the fight

Hiya! I'm new and have attempted to read the WoWhead guide to find my answer, but may be missing it. Specifically in the Single Target opener on the guide on WoWhead, I'm trying to understand the timeline. If you are not talented into Shrouded Suffocation, when are you supposed to cast Rupture? The timeline appears to show that you should Mutilate instead of Rupture if you aren't talented into it? Or are you supposed to Garrote, then Mutilate, then Rupture, and then continue with the upper timeline?

there were plenty of amazing fix proposed in outlaw channel

more in line with fantasy of pirate or just rogue

but almost everything require work that blizzard is not wiling to put in rogue

What makes Caustic Spatter hit harder?
My Envenom is always in line with my Spatter on AoE fights.
Talking about mythic raiding.

Hi just wondering how assasination cds work with silken court considering the amps doesnt last long enough for full duration of kingsbane? especially for the charge boss amps whats the common approach? early kingsbane deathmark casts or just send in the amp and be sad about the fact that the majority of kingsbane damage is outside the amp window?

You do it on amps to allign it later with bloodlust.

You just do your rotation like any other. You would only save Vanish if you're struggling to switch Stalker Mark.
