You can make weakauras that track effects on multiple targets.

I think really nameplates are the best option for cases like M+ where it is important to know where the mob is and how to target them

For bosses

You can do something like this

Then use Auto-Clone

and put the aura in a dynamic group

it will show you an icon/bar for every instance you have applied

You can also do Unit: Nameplate and have it show up as a weakaura in a set location instead

Some of WAs settings aren't exactly clear how they tie together but they magically do sometimes

so if you do Unit: Boss, then anchor to Unit Frame

it may cluster them appropriately on the special Boss Unit Frames

that show up (by default) under your minimap

I also am unsure on the exact settings to make it happen with basic options (and I try to give advice only using standard settings if possible). Obviously if you open up the world of custom code it can all be done.
