And we use it for that like everyone else but if it’s not impactful and not changing gearing recommendations then why touch it? We got people simming 3 target 1 min and 9 target 30 second and dungeonslice and all sorts of weird shit, and that’s with legit dozens of m+ builds being played currently. Are all of those situations supposed to be perfectly sequenced? Cause it’s a hell of a headache and if readability is a concern, you can throw that out the window. I’m one guy, so if the sims are close enough and close to human in execution and outcome, moving one cast 5 seconds back is neutral here and minor upgrade there and minor downgrade there, I just don’t care man.
We live in an age beyond numbers where streamers will recommend batshit insane stuff and fighting back against the misinformation is “sims bad + you don’t have IO, streamer said better”. So like could I be out here in the trenches fighting for centimeters on a sim in a 2 minute 5 target patchwerk that makes a minor error under one of the 100+ talent builds that we have in m+? That some people look at and some people fully ignore? Sure, I could. But I did that all of shadowlands and most of dragonflight and it’s only gotten worse to fight against the feelcraft. Making an already fairly bloated APL even more bloated to account for all the niche situations isn’t exactly peak maintainability or readability for anyone involved, so it is simply just easier to tap the sign and move on. It’s just work put in vs diminishing returns put out

anyway, for this thing, this is considered "standard".
From there on the class tree people drop without a trace/subterfuge for lethality/supercharger to varying degrees.
On the spec tree people drop some combination of sudden demise, bone spike, doomblade, iron wire, master assassin, and they use those points to then take some combination of twist the knife, sanguine blades, I've seen people take lightweight shiv even or blindside. I've seen dashing get taken from that as well.
And all of that is within this one archetype we call "hybrid" which is mostly the left side talents with kingsbane/dtb/carnage/sudden demise. You can repeat the process for the other two archetypes, the first being "cleave" which takes the left side instead of the right, going into zoldyck and then taking arterial/kb/dtb/carnage. Typically that's seen as like a single target heavy build but it's not actually that much better single target and the lack of scent of bleed hurts prio damage an insane amount. It still works though it's chill. But in that setup people like to drop arterial for like shrouded suff or they find a way to take bone spike. You can repeat this process again with the "bleed" archetype, which avoids the middle and takes arterial/kb/carnage/sudden demise and moves damage out of caustic and into bleeds. Generally that's designed for low keys to abuse sudden demise execute, but still works fine in keys (people have timed 14's with varying bleed combos)
