The breath/frontal from the first boss in Necrotic Wake is bugged and goes through cloak of shadows despite it doing magic damage.
To prevent this you need to have the first second of cloak up whenever the breath hits you, in other words cast cloak when his cast has less than a second left, then it will be immuned and you will not take damage.
Sidenote: You can also use evasion to dodge the breath whenever cloak is not ready.

Running out of energy in single target is completely normal, intended design of Assassination. You want to be playing for the highest uptime on Envenom, and not blindly spamming away all your energy. Rapid Injection, Sanguine Blades, and Vicious Venoms all play into this gameplay.

• No, haste will not make this feel noticeably better.
• 10% haste only contributes to around 2 actions per minute
• You should be playing for envenom uptime in single target

Yes, macroing to kingsbane still makes it only affect envenom, but the point in macroing to kingsbane is frequency. you want to use it to match edge case after deathmark, and if you use it more frequently than once a minute you risk desyncing it

In isolation an envenom crit alone from cold blood isn't huge

so getting it on cd isn't a big deal

The rule for tea is "Use tea for energy during your cooldowns". That is, use it if you need energy and won't cap from using it, during your shiv windows.

If you're going to macro it to something, it would be shiv, though I'd still advise you single bind it

Or you can just ignore the macro and button and just let it auto proc, it automatically uses a charge if you drop below 30 energy

It's worse when you do that but not much worse, if you don't want to think about it it's not a big deal to do that

Currently simming my box and it's recommending a hero track transmitter over myth track tier pants, neck w/ BiS stats, and myth dagger. The neck would be upgrading a champ track and the other two myths would be upgrading hero track. The transmitter would be upgrading a hero track coccoon trink. I've simmed against 5 and 8 target fights and it's still suggesting transmitter, should I disregard the sim since my primary content is M+ and not raid ST?

there could be other explanations for this, but i think thats a fair assumption to make based on the data you have

#1 explanation being that ds has more survivability which matters for kyveza
