IMO it is easier to parse higher population classes - flavor of the month attracts noobs and non-mains of the class, diluting the pool and making PERCENTILE rankings easier.

If the goal is to 100 parse, you would always prefer less competition.

If the goal is to 99 parse, and there are only 100 players, you’d better be the rank 1 or 2 guy or it’s gg - it actually gets easier to 99 as you add population in that sense

The reason we do this is to maximize uptimes and use energy more efficiently for Deathstalker marks/cooldowns. Staying under 50% leads to more Envenom casts, which is more Darkest Night Procs. For Fatebound, heads flips contribute damage regardless of if you're flipping or not, so this pressure to keep spending is lessened.
