TLDR:Maintain max uptime on envenom

• For Fatebound, sanguine blades is typically much better than Deathstalker. For this reason, if you can't maintain Envenom uptime anymore, you should build combo points, then reset your energy back to around 70% before maintaining again.
• For Deathstalker, try to stay under 50% as much as possible while maxing out Envenom uptime. Single target builds play vicious venoms instead of sanguine blades as well.

The reason we do this is to maximize uptimes and use energy more efficiently for Deathstalker marks/cooldowns. Staying under 50% leads to more envenom casts, which is more Darkest Night Procs. For Fatebound, heads flips contribute damage regardless of if you're flipping or not, so this pressure to keep spending is lessened.

You will not want to break your tier until roughly 40 or 50 item levels above your tier set, at which point you should simulate yourself through top gear to get direct, accurate answers. This is highly dependant on your gear as a character so make sure you check with a sim first before swapping/deleting gear

I'm sure someone has brought this up already, but the rookery feels awful on rogue. Almost every mob pulls you out of stealth with their aoe electric shtuff. After losing a lot of our stealth capabilities (no shadow dance, harder to get subterfuge), it feels impossible to get any stealth hits in, which seems horrible when trying to get Deathstalker's Mark on someone.
Question I have about this, is it worth it to switch multiple talent points to get subterfuge back in the Rookery (and similar scenarios)? Or am I doing something wrong here with getting my mark off??

Explanation of why stealth benefits aren't as important as you might think:

• Garrote is roughly 10-12% of people's damage in a key, most of which is already empowered/cleaved
• Most energy spreading will come from Rupture to maintain scent of blood, not garrote
• Without a Trace (+1 vanish charge) only grants roughly 2 additional casts across a whole dungeon
• While Without a Trace can allow for better vanish timings, the difference in damage provided is at most replacing a non-stealth opener with a stealth opener (you aren't necessarily getting "added" casts, just "better" casts)
• You can argue that it "feels bad", but numerically there is very little ground to stand on, the dps simply isn't there.

Kingsbane basically does this: once you pop it, every time you apply poisons to the target the damage of kingsbane ticking damage increases up to a certain %. So it's an ability that ramps up and is strongest a bit before poping the final damage

That's why we also cover the whole ability with both shivs or, in case you're playing only 1 shiv, we use it in the last 7 seconds of KB to boost it's damage

@wicked carbon you want to time your Thistle Tea so that it covers the last 6 seconds of Kingsbane whenever possible. This is because Kingsbane dmg ramps up as you apply lethal poison. And yeah, you absolutely must have rupture+garrote on you target before using Kingsbane. Ideally you have envenom buff as well.

You will not want to break your tier until roughly 40 or 50 item levels above your tier set, at which point you should simulate yourself through top gear to get direct, accurate answers. This is highly dependant on your gear as a character so make sure you check with a sim first before swapping/deleting gear
