It kind of is yeah. But you can think about it in a way where each spec specializes in different things and does their job differently, thus doing more or less melee damage. Stuff like armor pen, attack speed, attack power, weapon dps and so on affects it. There's a bunch of things.

That’s a very complicated question to answer accurately

Well if you managed to restealth / have shadowdance, your ruptures / garrote will spread anyway, and you need that energy to actually "spam envenoms"

As you have more energy from more targets for example, you shouldn’t need to rupture them

It’s technically worth to rupture it, for your overall damage

But that’s because you get energy back when the totem dies

Not because it’s better damage on the totem

If you want to do damage to the totem, you shouldn’t rupture it, because it dies too quick

sounds like a cop out answer but thats actually how simple it is, find what feels right to you. trying to use otherpeoples keybinds adds stress and breaks normality to you. My keybinds are scuffed but feels right to me, meanwhile a friend of mine uses mousewheel up and down as keybinds for main attacks that i could never LMAO. Whatever works, works plain and simple. if you have a key that doesnt feel great try moving it till it does. Took me years and adapting every season to find the binds that feel best in scenarios

I like stealth for IC way more than empower garotes. Just nice to be able to spread dots faster - but not end of the world if we don’t restealth. Difference is smaller than people think usually
