can't really happens just with the mechanics of kingsbane tbh. During lust it's already pretty reasonable to cap out on kingsbane, extending kingsbane would just give more fully ramped ticks, which kinda defeats the point of having the ramp in the first place, so they would have to change the ramp somehow, raising the cap for example, but they can't raise the cap because then it would go crazy, so they gotta raise the cap and then nerf the damage per stack, but then kingsbane without this new extension talent would be really weak, so can't do that. Gotta then bake a kingsbane nerf into the extension like "kingsbane is extended by X seconds every time you cast envenom, but you apply less poisons and kingsbane does less damage" and that's just an overbloated mess

it breaks the design of kingsbane in a couple places

that's why in legion they went with poison applications reduce the cooldown of kingsbane instead

but now you're introducing a cooldown reduction mechanic, and one that rewards insanely high uptime

and now kingsbane timing is inconsistent to play around

it's just all around a giga can of worms that you're opening

• tea shouldn't be used at the start of kingsbane, it should be the last 5ish seconds to cover the end
• same thing with vanish for master assassin, he's casting at 53 seconds into nothing and wasting the cooldown entirely
• shiv is a 30s cooldown with 2 charges, so 1 min total. Kingsbane is also a 1 min buff, so both shiv charges get held for kingsbane to cover the entirety of the debuff, he's just not pressing it, there's gaps where he presses it in his opener and then doesn't press it again until the shield 2 min later
• he's playing caustic to cleave adds, but then dropping caustic during the second and third set of roots sometimes, so he ends up not cleaving
• he has his dagger macro'd into his trinket, which while not really a mistake is really silly cause it would just override the buff constantly. Should just press it once on a training dummy and then leave it alone so it maintains the heal effect from that
• he's doing some weird half-opener thing. Normally our openers are really long, so we have an accelerated opener for things like shields and tindral opening for timing. Would be garrote->rupture->mut->slice->deathmark, etc. He's doing the start of the normal opener and then just skipping a step or two instead, which is slow
• tepid vers blows super hard gotta run corrupting rage
• He's not kiting the orbs on his branch properly either so it ends up being terrible value as it misses pretty much his entire cooldowns (picture attached for that)
• We should be trying to chain envenoms together for tier, which he's also not doing very convincingly, but that's more of an advanced topic and he's gotta learn the bare minimum first so I wouldn't really worry about that

oh he's also still using improved ambush in the class tree

which isn't a major mistake either

but tight spender is just straight better for 99.9% of people

and requires no changes rotationally either way

Going from a dummy to a raid boss can be an uncomfortable jump in pacing, and I can’t imagine that boss being mythic Fyrakk. If he just pugs some heroic he can get the real world feel of his new knowledge of the spec, as well as probably some logs where he can look at where he’s improved and where he still needs to improve at that point

Is rogue dev still reading discord this late into a season? Cuz I’m wondering why they decided to have assa overtuned for first few weeks of the new raid and have rwf with it for most part and then proceed to nerf it until it is performing the worst of the 3 rogue specs and not competitive unless PI. It was pretty much the same in Vault of the incarnates. Why not leave it or just slightly lower it but have it still equal to sub??

Nobody played Sub in the beginning

So it didnt get nerfed

like, it only sees play when its the strongest rogue spec on mythic (which is always the case in the last few tiers)
