i looked over some of my own logs and the damage lost by shiv dropping for a second was something like 30k and if you consider envenom to have a average of 150 (conservative) then 2 cps which is half an envenom is 75k damage

but i dont know how much that correlates to other's situations etc

Sure, well you could look at one of those packs and take the shiv Icon inside of them, and put it into your UI. Then, Right Click the icon and do Convert To -> Progress Texture.

You'll probably have to mess around with it a bit to get it to do exactly what you want, but the power is at your disposal.

Shiv is also not a super complex (though not trivial because it involves CD + Charges + debuff) aura to make yourself, so good place to learn the process if you wanted to just do it yourself from the ground up

when you do end up casting kingsbane the mob is already at 40% hp

there's like weird downtime when you dance, and the shivs are just kinda out in nowhere

and then you don't kingsbane the big mini boss

which is kinda weird considering the pull is a full 2 min

then we get to the boss and this is just not how the opener goes

also just realizing now that you didn't deathmark or trinket on the first pull either

and unless your rupture is actually going to drop off the target

don't rupture in dance

just slam envenoms

dropping your envenom chain randomly during your kingsbane hurts so much more than not getting your 0.1% increase from snapshotting a rupture

typically you shouldn't really need to garrote but if you have no energy regen cause you let your dots drop for some reason and the mob is also going to be alive for a considerable amount of time that warrants sending another set of dots

I just ran a key with a sin rogue (that starts off the key by saying to me "tank, please let me stealth") and they used DM twice in a 20 EB. And trash wasn't dying that fast anyway
