I saw the quesitons, but just to finish off the whole cringe fanboy thing. At the end of the day, if I wanted to be some big shot content creator or streamer or I wanted to make money off of it or whatever claims people have thrown at me, I could have done 35 different things in the last 5 years to do that. I've made enemies because I'm blunt and sarcastic, and I couldn't care. At the end of the day, as much as it sounds cunty, I'm not here to make friends. I'm grateful that I made friends along the way, but it's not my intention to baby people and make everyone like me. I couldn't give a shit if people like me or if the discord flocks to defend me or whatever. My goal is to give accurate information, help people improve at this spec, and optimize how assassination plays. I didn't choose whether or not people defend me, the math and the logic can stand true without the support of anyone else. That's how I've always been, and that's how I always will be.

is it valid to not deathmark in aoe so mobs dont die faster ie you do mroe splash dmg?
can i use a shiv outside deathmark for a bit more dmg in aoe?
if 1) happens, do i solo deathmark whenever i need, or wait to align? or do I save for whenever i really need both
my friends playing stuff like demo lock with a looooooooooooad of burst so im not sure if doing appropriate dmg, but i feel like i could be minmaxing like this to do more dmg

not inherently, but the packs in dslice last varying amounts of time, and most pulls will actually end up with targets dying before the full value of KB/DM goes off, yes

not really, deathmark ramps kingsbane much faster as well, so it ends up just being better most of the time instead of holding and missing casts
depending on the pull cadence you might have some extra shivs, as long as you have charges for kingsbane you can send the extras whenever
deathmark on its own and kingsbane on its own, neither one is insanely op. It's the combination of the two that makes things go bonkers, so you should try to align them whenever possible

I've been thinking about it but it's just way too variable to put into a written guide without making like a whole ass page dedicated to it and it gets tricky.

Cause like you have all these things to think about:

am I actually using cooldowns on this pack
is there a prio target that needs to die, and how fast does it need to die
how much burst will my party do
how long will the pack last
how much value will iron wire give
am I playing arterial or cleave, if I'm playing arterial with CT, I'm very bleed heavy, maybe I don't really care for the kingsbane as much
will the mobs be grouped up fast enough
are we chaining?
how much do I need to actually speed up my opener

Like yeah accelerating is cool and all, but there's levels to it and depending on your group there might be times where you accelerate a pack normally but you don't need to on this run because the cooldowns aren't lining up the same or the people you're playing with suck or whatever. It's just such a "play it by feel" type of thing that it's difficult to actually put into words. You'll notice that in this entire discussion, I only have been talking about how to accelerate, but not the when. I'm gonna be honest, I don't know the when. That's for the person playing to decide through practice and knowledge of the key and the group. I can give the tools needed to deal with things, but especially in m+, and VERY especially in the case of accelerating in m+, I can't make the decision on when to use what tool.

Even if you don't dedicate a page to it. There are some people who follow guides like gospel and will never think to KB before the 20 seconds ramp.
Putting even a caveat in there in the AoE rotation section just like
"If you find packs dying before the full duration of KB press KB earlier and continue with the rotation after"
Just giving that thought to gospel readers will help the lower end much more.

thing is the whole dm window can actually be predicted into one of two primary variations, one where seal fate makes you vanish on 0 cp or one that makes you vanish following a mut

Ah yeah that makes sense, I actually track my vanish by going my rupture at the start is always 6cp so it’s 28 seconds and then mut mut env dm shiv dance+kb gar env is a set sequence of 8 gcds and then the gar env is 2 seconds into kingsbane so then it’s a difference of 6 seconds which means my rupture hits 22 when i cast kingsbane, and since kingsbane is always 14 seconds and 22-14 is 8 i know that my rupture is gonna have 8 seconds left which means i need to vanish 3 seconds beforehand, so 8+3 is 11, I vanish when rupture has 11 seconds left

But yeh big agree, just tracking kingsbane duration is fucking insane lmao

I wish I could get straighter to the point and cut the 25 different pages to like 4 and reorganize it and delete half of the stuff that gets repeated over and over. Having to hunt down the stat recommendations across the entire site is a nightmare every time. Or like if there’s a new talent that gets played, have to update it in like 6 different places. Just for the headers. The tier set page is especially bad about it, it’s just nonstop SEO headers.
