their analysis is very smart, because they are very smart people, but there's nothing data wise that they inherently see that we cant. It's always crazy to me when people are like "oh they have internal numbers for this kind of stuff". Do they? How? If they had ways to filter out power infusion or fix aug hooks, they would've just added it to the combat log. There's no reason for them to see the issue, come up with a fix for it, and then hold it internally while all the combat log data stays bad. Then they'd take all that bad combat log data.... and???? We assume it gets filtered then? But cleaning up the combat log AFTERWARDS is so much harder than just cleaning it up as it happens live, and you don't need to work with the data twice and it's less work. Idk, like any sensible programmer is having a seizure trying to have that argument make sense

@manic quartz go into plater settings, then scripting, find the "color change [plater] one (first picture), then at the bottom there's "edit script for:" and a set of buttons, hit the constructor. look for the flash setting in picture 2, should be true, set it to false, hit save, try again, let me know if that removes it

Just speaking purely as a programmer and someone who manages a lot of metrics/logging infra this simply isn't true. Companies have a lot of metrics that arent visible externally. In your combat log example, the log could have trace or debug events emitted from the server into blizzards logging infra and only log combat info events to clients
