1. addendum to my words above, but if you're not pulling big, it's probably because there's something that's important and needs to die so you don't really want to sit there and CT spam. On top of that, envenom is always the same damage, regardless of the targets, and CT is not. CT on 2 targets is 2x the damage of single target CT. Envenom on 2 targets is still Envenom. So you're just doing more damage with envenom at a certain point in cleave. You always want to maintain the dot on CT though
2. if you're going to over-cap on charges in aoe you can send it with your carnage dots for a bit extra damage, but generally it's just a "if I need energy I drink" situation. If you're starving on bosses in m+ that's because the spec is slow, not because you're playing wrong

Dislike, the idea of bleeds speeding up is actually pretty appealing, but the reality is sort of a clunky mess. Setting up before a button is sort of a cool idea, but it forces us to double cast multiple bleeds which is super awkward, especially since they don't do much up front damage. It almost feels like a waste imo. I think the 9.2 tier set was slightly better since it placed the refreshes in a window rather than a single instance of reduction. Tho tbh that also promoted a lot of other weird shit with snapshotting and ct

I think a different offering would be my choice, or a different way of speeding up bleeds :p

This isn't really directly exsang I guess, but I will say that now we don't play with exsang because it is bugged, sitting on vanish for 2 minutes until 2nd deathmark feels much worse to me, than having to press the double ruptures and garrotes for exsang ever did.

I think the concept of speeding up your bleeds feels cool but theres something odd about it making the bleeds shorter overall. Like when you vanish garrote only to make them shorter? Not to mention being able to grief your deathmark and make it shorter

I personally enjoyed exsang, outside of the bugs of course. The setup that goes with it felt good, heck I felt goos about doing it and didnt know why dmg went down. I think it'd be good if rogue doesnt go too much into the snapshot part with it being a huge part of Feral for example, but by itself I think exsang is conceptually fine

I think exsang feels good to pull off well but setting it up is wack especially mid fight. Opener is kinda whatever. Also if you mess it up at all it feels terrible. Feels like a very min-max talent that I avoid during prog and then try to work in to parse

its not that you want the spec to go too deep into snapshot, but its nice to have skill expression - kingsbane, exang, and currently sepsis build all have small bits of "if you dont do this correct you lose dmg", which is nice when the spec is otherwise refresh bleeds and envenom

this is why my personal fave build for sin in recent memory was 1 min vendetta with overhang, flag.

wahtever happens with exang would be nice to see something that is not overly complciated but supports "if you play this well, you will be rewarded"

imo the talent has a multitude of problems

the idea is fine, "speed bleeds up so you do dmg faster" sounds cool on paper, the problems comes with the gameplay implications it brings, so that you set up stronger bleeds just to let them run out faster and set up again (espacily bad with 45sec exsang, the gameplay just feelt like as if you where just constantly setting bleeds up->exsang->set up again->exsang the entire fight)

another problem is the weird CD alignment, 45 and 3min both never felt good tbh, 45 way to frequent but 3min had those weird "Hold the ability for 1min+ sometimes" moments

another problem is how unintuitive the ability actually is, exsang actually killing your major dmg CD is something most people dont realise, and its 1of the very few abilitys that actually HARMS you for using it slightly wrong, and then the other things like exsang snapshoting haste etc.... all just lead to an gameplay with the ability that doesnt feel good imo, while at the same time beeing an ability where you actually need a bigger amount of 3rd party information just to understand what its actually all doing/how it interacts with you

That, and it opens the door to problems like removing a scaling agent from Assassination via Venomous Wounds. When youre already sitting at ~50apm on a 1sec GCD in st, getting infinite energy from VW on aoe isn't gonna drastically alter your gameplay feel and you won't be able to scale your AoE damage to much higher levels as a result.

Whereas going from pressing a button every 1.5sec to every 1.0 sec, is quite a significant increase in output already.

ye i mena, the alternative for assa would be some kind of stance that you could activate that would slowly increase energy drain, but increase damage as well, so in an environment where you generate lots of energy, you can translate that into damage

it reminds me a lot of the energy overcapping issues combat had in MoP, where the solution ended up being increasing sinsiter strike energy cost and damage. but that also hurt the people who werent in bis gear and already played a slow spec, which now became even slower (was atrocious for leveling for example)

Sorry for the late ping but if you're using afenar's or any Class suite set with dynamic buff tracking you can duplicate an existing buff that's tracked and change the spell ID to the 4 set bonus
