yeah I figured that. I'm 428, my avg for all the bosses was 45ish, but that included a crap death on amalgamation that brought my avg way down. Would've been closer to 60. So it was okay enough that I'm not discouraged.

Is there a way to specifically track whether or not the boss has an improved garrote vs a regular garrote? Since the debuff is fonctionally the same outside more dmg?

yes, kinda.
The way to do it (and that's how all the common rogue WAs do it)
is that they add a condition via scripting to when you cast garrote.
And that condition checks if you have a stealth buff / sepsis buff applied to yourself.
if you do, they add some kind of marker (for example, a dot) to the garrote WA icon, so you'll know that it's empowered right now
but to make it clear:
there is no distinction between a normal garrote or empwoered garrote once the debuff is applied to target. it's the same spell id.

Sepsis gets consumed by Ambush(if you have blindside it has prio over sepsis), garotte, sap, cheap and pick pocket with the later 3 being irrelevant. Pressing Mut doesn't remove sepsis Buff so the only logical thing to assume is that you press ambush on accident if that isn't the case I cant tell you what you're doing wrong.
