My guild isn't rotating soak groups for the first 3 pools before you drop on the edge, instead they are having a group for each pool and saving externals for them later in the fight. So I lose uptime during those, plus soaking small puddles and RNG of having to take a pool to the edge later

the stats on the cloak are low to accomodate the extra effect

The cloak takes a small amount of stats (about 500) away from your raid, and gives you a much larger bonus (about 2000) as a benefit

When you sim the cloak, it of course takes the bonus to your character into account in order to sim the effect. However because it’s just simulating your character, it doesn’t actually “take” any stats, since there’s no one to take stats from

There’s no way to estimate the “loss”

But because it’s a very small amount to their WORST stat, and gives you a large amount of your BEST stat

It’s a no-brainer
