the super min max way would be vanishing after the sepsis1gar2 expires for more improved garrote uptime, then holding sepsis2 for like 6-10 seconds before sending it to make sure that you get the deathmark covered

on sark especially you're just holding your sepsis constantly because of how the fight transitions

so you always have it for deathmark anyway

lingering extending the impact of dance and other talents providing backstab/gloomblade power in combination with that is the problem that I have for it though. I personally much prefer the style of sub from wod where dance was powerful and stood on its own as a burst-centric cooldown. While I logically understand that lingering is making dance stronger by being connected to its power, from a gameplay perspective it doesn't feel like your shadow dances are powerful, it just feels like you're dancing to get to your gloomblades. That coupled with the higher dance uptime the spec has been pushing for the last while just doesn't appeal to me. In my mind, sub is supposed to be the "arcane mage of rogues" so to speak. You got some complicated stuff going on, but if you line everything up, you get crazy bursts. Seeing big touch of the magi bursts with stacking rune of power, radiant spark, arcane surge, presence of mind, trinket, potion, and popping off is the fantasy that I want out of sub as a player. When I'm out in the open, just doing my thing, not much happening, I'm not sleuthing, but get me in dance and I'm going BONKERS. That speaks to me a lot more than weaving in and out of dance all the time but also lingering and gloomblade so now you're kinda just flatlined the whole time and it's not really a SUPRISE IM HERE!! it's more of a consistently "I'm just gonna stab because my damage window is 20 seconds long every 30 seconds". It's just not appealing to me personally
