other than that, it would depend how the fight length aligned with you CDs
if it's 2 minutes fight, your CDs won't be available yet.
if it's 2:40~ fight, you're right after using CDs, so you'll have higher DPS

how do you guys practice consistency? as i review my logs and compare them to others the biggest thing i see that shows up in play style is they are more consistent and clean and as im looking at analyzer i may have 10ish "bad" envenoms and most top performers have maybe 3 or 4. so how do i practice outside of our raid nights i find myself overwhelmed sometimes and will drop the ball in terms of my rotation and i know experience and comfort in times of stress comes from familiarity and doing over and over again, but has anyone found any habits the help build the comfort in ur rotation so you dont have to think about it and can just keep rolling and focus ur brain on the mechanics coming in not the abiltys ur pushing out?

I mean it's mostly repetition

it's a combination of getting your rotation down to second nature

and getting very comfortable with the encounters

you can always just sit on a target dummy while talking to your friends in discord or something

try to add some distractions

or target swap to a different dummy for like 5 seconds randomly with like an alarm clock or something

and make sure it doesn't screw up your rotation on the original target

but that can all be very brain melting and boring

i think for most people it's just playing a lot. go do raid pugs if you want more practice with the bosses

try to find places to stand during a fight that will minimize it's affect on your rotation. like on sennarth for example I always stand in the exact same place for each ability if i'm able to

also you can record yourself with like OBS or something even if you don't stream

so you can review your fights. or you the replay system in warcraftlogs if you don't wanna do that

the nature of seeing the top log, is that you get to see the time they were at their best
but it's mostly repetition.

let's take the opener for example
when you just start, you may fuck it up 7 out of 10 times.
but eventually, doing it over and over, you'll remember the sequence because it's always the same.

the same goes to for raid encounters.
usually the harder bosses can take from 50 to 150+ pulls to kill.
eventually you learn exactly when to do, you stop panicking, and it becomes auto-pilot.

A good tip if you don’t have it, is to have the 5th and 6th combo points a different colour with a uni or weakaura. Helps let you know when to finish and not. Also for the most part pressing buttons isn’t all that time sensitive. If you’re not overcapping on energy you can wait that second to check if you are in cp finisher range
