As a result of the most recent nerfs and some APL tinkering, you may have noticed your single target talent sims fluctuating a bit. Some setups prefer the DTB poison build (the dreaded 1 Shadowstep build) which we previously used, some setups prefer the DTB build with Shadowstep/Bloody Mess/Exsanguinate, and funnily enough some builds might even prefer playing Kingsbane. There's even some very demonic builds flying around that don't use Cut to the Chase, but we highly recommend that you stay away from them unless you hate yourself and like to torture yourself. Because we basically run Bloody Mess/Improved Garrote/Shrouded Suffocation on all builds, we will be playing Exsanguinate with all talent setups. Feel free to drop it for Improved Poisons or double Shiv for ~1.5% loss if you hate the ability.

**Because of the way the game balance and the apl change so quickly all the time, these builds/changes might not be reflected in the FAQ, video guides or written guides, especially if the information is tied to some sort of graphics like in the FAQ. **

This is again the moment when I highly recommend that you sim yourself and many different talent variations if you're looking to find the most throughput out of your character.

Our general recommendation is to run the bleed focused DTB build, which I will link down below as it performs the best for most and you don't have to give up utility for it. You do have to play Exsanguinate with it though, so if you really hate Exsanguinate, you can play the Poison DTB build instead but you will have to drop a Shadowstep for that.

I will link several builds below which you can use to sim yourself and find the build that sims the best for you. Personally the highest simming build for my character is the Kingsbane build after receiving 4p and the Puzzle Box trinket, but for most others it's very likely the one of the DTB builds. Again, sim yourself.
