It's a different proc that you get from your team mates. So as a DPS you get a crit proc (frost), then you can get earth or fire procs from your team mates if a tank/healer has the trinket.

@shy meteor Poisons you don't worry about. For empowered garrotes let them fall off unless you are vanishing to reapply in pandemic. For exsanguinated bleeds, let them fall off.
