Hello, I'm trying myself to assassination (beginner, I didn't activate the spec since WoD), I would play it in dungeon, I see some difference between guides (especially about taking tea and exsang in talents) and two main way to play it in AOE style, which is recommended for learn? (IC+KB or DTB?) Have I to learn exsang complexity early or not?

Pass on exsang while learning, it's probably the biggest pain in the ass to optimize in dungeons while learning the spec, and you can sim pretty close with other talent options iirc

I prefer IC/KB personally, but DTB does fine with poison pots falling out of your pockets. It is definitely a bit less button heavy to start learning with

IC/KB also feels really reliant on how tank is pulling

Mine likes to never leave combat, and also have 2 packs 4 mobs on opposite sides of a room so it doesn't feel great sometimes lol

Don't know if this is common knowledge yet but be careful when crafting now and recrafting later, if you want a rank 5. When you recraft you use fewer materials, and each material with a higher tier gives bonus skill. Meaning that if I for example craft something with 280 skill because of high tier materials, whenever i recraft and use fewer materials I will only craft it with 214 skill

The dps and profile difference actually matters for so few people in the world. If everything is close, you should play what you like.
If you’re competitively pushing wr (high HoF) it actually matters. Even at low/border HOF play matters infinitely more than a few dps - again outside of like 9.0 (not .5) assassination

and could be the higher weapon ilvl and trinkets and i still use the corrupting rage potion in that sim but its oversimming so without it and "normal" phial i sim around 54k

I didn't get to test it in Beta but in M0 packs die too quick for the aoe bleeds to have a full effect

assassination is in a better spot for m+ than it ever has been, but it'll suffer from what it always did
