Midnight Launch Day

Happy Midnight, for those that are still with us.

1. Remember that we should swap to Fatebound, it is tuned a bit higher as we level into 90. It gets more energy and CPs which helps as our stats scale downward.

Level 80 Fatebound (aoe) | Level 90

As you level to 90, take the remaining Fatebound talents, take the full Supercharger column from the class tree, and take the 4 apex talents in the spec tree.

For now, we use Flickering Steel for the energy it provides. When you are geared with haste, Thief's Versatility should take over slightly by ~1%, though you can technically stay Flickering Steel as it helps prevent poor RNG.

We are still crit+haste, and haste should fall off as you approach 25%, crit should fall off as you approach 40%. You won't hit these either of these points for awhile. Vers and Mastery are still not bad, so ilvl differences should be simmed of course.

2. Supercharger is actually better than Lethality + Cold-Blooded Killer. For one reason or another, this slipped through the cracks. Most likely from early bugged sims and wasn't retested in a while. Supercharger adds about 6% more total combo point usage, and that is broadly a 6% dps increase, which should be handily ahead of what the crit talents are offering.

3. There is a new minmax to sometimes hold BtE for Supercharger. The full rule is that if Adrenaline Rush's cooldown is nearly ready (under ~30s remaining) then we should hold BtE until AR is cast, so that it is spent with Supercharger active. You don't need the apex talent for this to be a gain, but with apex it is an extra bonus that sometimes you will be able to double-cast BtE and both of them are buffed by Supercharger. Overall it's about a 0.7-1% gain with endgame crit, but even with preseason crit it should still show a minmaxy gain (~0.5%).

4. Don't worry about the "low crit" build. Previously I posted a build to use when we are not geared, however the last few build updates seem to have offset the gain it might have given you so it's not really worth thinking about.

The coins are just part of the equation, it's just how it works out. BtE wants to be consumed at higher CPs because of Zero In. But Dispatch can be spent at 5, dispatch is also better a flipping coins from Mean Streak.
