i htink the complexity jump is too big, not that endgame wow is too complex

the issue, though, is that the demand for max-level questing that requires you to be skilled is low

and the demand for content harder than lfr and easier than norrmal is... honestly almost non-existent

so you're at a bit of an impasse

I think normal is actually pretty doable for most people it's just that the added difficulty of interfacing with the pug system is a huge wall that means people who don't find guilds are much less likely to play normal as new players

it's that it gives rewards that are relevant for people's ratty alts while being at this level of difficulty

those people could do normal (with some difficulty probably) if you put 15-30 of them in a group and told them to figure it out

but when does that ever happen

lfr could be a potential remedy for this but let's be honest, does anyone think blizzard woudl risk the PR nightmare of making lfr "too hard" for the people who pride themselves on being shit at the game

even if it'd be good for new players who actually want to play it

The way I pitch wow vs ff14 to people is "wow is significantly better at gameplay in almost every way (not just combat, but also doing quests and just wandering around the world), but ff14 is a bit better than wow at most other things" (which I generally feel is accurate) and at the end of the day I know a lot of people for whom the free trial was the tiebreaker

when those 39s buffs tick down to zero you get to roll again

For those who say FB is simming higher in keys, it’s simming single target for bosses but if you are running route where tank is pulling on to boss then this will not be accurate for you.
