RWF just made WAs where you press a button to trigger the weak aura instead of it auto detecting it via some aura
the efforts put in by the community will always outweigh the restrictions by blizzard, their only path to reduce addon dependency is stop designing the game to make addons so valuable

yeah, i was assuming you'd use like a local simc setup and run it via command line or w/e

the pitch would be to try to automate all those tiny minmaxes that get found by tinkering with a number or a condition
probably not worth the time spent making it though
(it also runs into the problem where APLs should be reasonable for a human to play rather than what is theoretically possible to optimise, although people are getting good enough that that's sometimes less of a barrier tmk)
