It's probaby the design engine they work with. I believe the items are designed in a way they are put on the character model instead of putting the items around the character model. This especially shows with old gear which is stretched out the fit the character models

Changing this would require using a totally different system and training people to use it and or hire new people. This normally never happens with game studios only if/when a restart/relauch is needed

ADVICE ;
When I look at your mog, I see two mogs in one. MOG 1 The helmet/tabard/gloves/boots/chest (don't really like the belt) and MOG 2 the shoulders/weapons/legs. My advice would be to split this mog into two and start out with a certain colour palette and try to match those into one mog. MOG 1 is nearly done, just add different shoulders/legs and weapons, and you got a solid red/dark/armoured brawler type of look. MOG 2 needs more work. I would add some SoD gear/Sinister Aspirant (horde) items/maybe even some items from the Felreaper Lookalike set (shoulders belong to them). Overall; not bad, but could use some improvements. Let us know/see if you make any improvements! 👍

• Good colour palette, some nice combos. Yes, i see it (nice job), the handles on the daggers are the same colour as the belt buckle.
  +- Good basis mog with the purpose of making the daggers the focus/central point
  -+ The blue in the belt kind of draws away the focus from the daggers

• no big negative besides maybe a pixel difference but that is down to taste, probably the boots are the bottleneck of this mog

ADVICE ;
This is a hard one. I really like the small matching detail of the dagger handles with the belt buckle, but the belt might actually be the only thing that's stopping this mog from the daggers being the central point. With these types of mogs, you would want a basis/uni-coloured mog with a flashy weapon. It's too bad that those shoulders are a different tone of black than the feet (sadly blizzard does this often). Personally, in the end, considering all things, pros vs cons, I would keep the belt just because of that small match with the daggers and look at the 2nd "negative" and have a look at the feet slot. I'd try to find feet that maybe have a similar blue tone as the belt or a similar tone as the shoulders to complete the mog and make it "flow". Another way would be to match the boots with the gloves and make them stand out a bit less to create a better flow.

A really easy way to create a speed set is to use currency to buy gear. For instance, i created my speed set by buying loads of korthia pieces and getting lucky to get a tertiary stat

A lil hint. Almost all the transmog that's two expansions old is relatively easy to farm. Mythic Antorus is also pretty easy to solo but most people just do it in a group because it's faster. The only thing that's stopping us/you from getting certain transmog is time. So when farming transmog expect it's going to take just time, besides current expansion and or previous expansion raids since that stuff is still hard (yes i've tried to solo them)

These will probably work really well by tying the pieces together. The mog is really red based at the moment, by adding more of the secondary colours (purple/grey) it will create a better flow in the mog. BUT if you want some flashy/eye-catching daggers, these are probably not for you.

A little hint; Next time just add something like "open the original" since having to judge your mog by just clicking on your pictures is pretty difficult. That being said, not too shabby mog-wise. I'd try to take things to the next level. It looks like you are using 3 base pieces from a certain set and then adding a few more pieces. This is fine when you are starting to learn how to mog, but once you "mastered" that, it might be nice to challenge yourself a bit. For instance, in mog 1 the shoulders have these little rings added to them. Challenge yourself and try to find pieces that not only have similar colours, but also similar shapes. Furthermore, another challenge could be; try to make a cohesive/flowing mog without a tabard. A tabard is in my eyes a cheat code for making a mog flow from top to bottom. Not using a tabard might be a challenge at first, but in my opinion that's a good thing. Using a theme, besides; colour, might also be an idea. Nonetheless, decent mogs, good starting point, let's improve and get better. Let us know what you made! 💪

Pretty sure the interview said they are thinking about opening up all classes for every race (except the dracthyr) but patience is a rare thing it seems. In my opinion, it's weird that people see stuff like this negatively instead of a step in the right direction/closer to their class fantasy

I have been farming the legs of Molten Core Mage tier for months now

It doesnt take that long to level and the pros of having multiple characters of the same class are huge for class mog farming
