y the research reward could be random but from what i found out so far about those tmog quests they are pretty rare and if they are up ppl do it on multiple alts to get it finished without needing to wait for the next time it is up. so i don't think they are random and i miss some requirement on that alt.

like for example if the necro one is up and you go check it as venth it only shows anima / research but when you go switch to necro and check it again it shows the tmog.
