The prestige of having the items comes from having them when it was cutting edge

If you want to flex your epeen you can do whatever the current cutting edge content is and show that off

What's everyone's opinion on the backpacks (Bubbleblood/Oily) from Maldraxxus? Yeh or neh? I don't have one personally, and swear I've killed Bubbleblood 200+ times. Was more-so trying to decide if it's worth to hardcore grind for it or not. I have so many toons it's unreal, and theoretically could kill it like 15+ times a day, just not sure if it's worth. Was thinking of putting together a set with one of those backpacks + a mix of Mythic TOS Rogue pieces and Mythic DH NH pieces.

• Good colouration combos, good theme
  +- Using pieces that we don't see a lot
  -+ The golden glasses don't really fit the mog in my opinion. Like the glasses are more of a "pretty" look while your mog is more of a leathery look.

• If you are using a belt that has a clear shape, it will draw a viewer's eyes to it. Then afterwards a viewer will immediately look for the shape again, sadly the orb shape cannot be found in the mog besides the belt. I think using a more simplistic belt with the same buckles as in the chest or a belt with similar studs as in the shoulder would do the mog more justice.

Aaah ok ok, yea those shoulders drop from one of the greater invasion bosses, which is actually not solo-able as a rogue atm. Plus those greater invasion bosses are on a 6-week rotation, have 5 possible drops, that is IF you get loot, aka horrible if you didn't get it while legion was live. I think ive got a drop chance calc somewhere. I believe it came down to 3% chance every 6 weeks

Not sure if you have read what i just said above. These shoulders are a fiend to get. They are part of the DH lookalike set from legion. Two pieces drop from Antorus with 3% the others are dropped from the greater invasion bosses at 3% each 6 weeks. https://ptr.wowhead.com/transmog-set=2672/felreaper-vestments-normal-lookalike quite horrible to complete and atm not soloable due to some boss mechanics

Probably because of azerite gear plus I know that armour value got extremely nerfed in SL. The prepatch ilvl reset didn't properly reset armor values and now in SL we have relatively quite a lot less armor value.

Which aren't heavily timegated. If you want to get the archeology appearance for instance you it will 100% take you 16 weeks because you can only do the rare quests once every 2 weeks. That kind of makes sense when the patch is live and current but now it just doesn't imo.

Time gating old content in my eyes only draws players away from old content instead of attracting players to it. Some huge achievements i understand, but something as "simple" as a weapon appearance, not really

Bring back challenge mode. But the rewards would be recolors. Also, collecting a whole entire tier/pvp set should unlock a new recolor with the achievement.

For example there is an npc in the rogue order hall. A pandaren in white dark phoenix. That should be a reward for completing the dark phoenix set. The armor stands at one of the entrances shows you the completed sets you've unlocked. That should of been tied to something bigger.

I don't know maybe completing all of the armor stands there unlocks an npc and quest. The npc rewards you with a new tint of the sets displayed instantly. Then you can do the same with later sets one by one.

So many great ideas in the WoW community, endless possibilities. Whatever some people might say, transmog/appearance in a game is undoubtedly a major part of how people perceive a game. You want to be able to look good in game, you want to farm and unlock new appearances and show them proudly. Heck if blizzard would introduce stuff like we are discussing right now i wouldn't mind subbing just for the thrill of hunting for new treasures and rewards and i know a lot of people wouldn't mind either. Let people enjoy the game in their own way.

Your problem is that you have everything hidden on a set so you can switch to it when you want to start from scratch right? The problem is blizzard being dumb and making the dressing room assume you want the hidden gear not to be hidden. I think what i did to "fix" this was to transmog myself to the specific set and then run off into a corner to hide my naked self while i go through transmog pieces
