Oeff just remade the mog in the dressing room and got some problem. Tabard clips terribly and the weapon effect isn't showing, but instead it shows the weird blurred/darkened version of them.. When I look at the weapons and the colour and shape of the eye I immediately had to think about the pvp remake of the doomblade battlegear for horde. Pretty sure those shoulders have the exact same colour and round sphere. Will probably have to make it in game to help you out further because the dressing room isn't working at all with this tabard and weapons...

@narrow marsh My main "issue" with the mogs at the moment is how "busy" they are. The tabard itself is already super busy and trying to perfectly match it with other pieces will be likely impossible. Plus if you are trying to find perfect matches you will lose the intended focus points of your weapons and tabard. I might be wrong but I assumed you wanted your weapons and tabard to be the focus points of the mog.

Using a leather set with minimal metal in it and then using boots that are pure metal isn't a good look imo. 100% need to replace the boots with a leather/cloth type of pair

Cross mogging is at the moment not possible but since you are playing sub and/or assa you can give a sword in your offhand the appearance of a dagger by mogging your main hand into a legion artefact dagger.

How will it work? Each week a random combination of subjects/themes/colours/shapes will be chosen and will challenge you all to design a mog that fits the criteria. See it as a fun way to challenge yourself into creating mogs that you normally wouldn't and a way to practise your overall mogging skills.

To make it more interactive I'm asking you all to give me:

• 2 colours
  -1 theme/subject
  -1 shape design

Multiple Idea sets allowed

These will be put into a file that will be put into a randomizer so that every week we get a different set of 3.
I've already compiled a little list of colours/themes/subjects/shapes, but it would be more fun with your input!!

When submitting a set of ideas. Please add RANDOM so I can easily find your input to the game. The first randomly generated set will be picked on the 24th of May (upcoming Monday).

Cons: The white on the helm from the back stands out a lot. I would say give the chest more love since it’s a bit on the lacking side, unlike your shoulders and helm. I don’t know if the monk belt is the best, but I couldn’t think of anything better to use either. Pros: I like the whole tribal theme. Love how the green glows on the weapons and helm. Like the whole wood-sy and bone feel.

Hi, I have recently come back to wow after not playing since cata. I made this transmog for my nightborne rogue because i really liked the headpiece (first tier cata rogue set) and i wanted a blue/purple with green accents mog. However, the set shoulders really float on nightborne so i'm looking for suggestions on how to improve this mog and converge the colours better.

For now, I'll focus on the advice part;

Looking at the fact that you just came back to WoW (and mogging), I personally think you are making it too difficult on yourself. Using that helmet with its effects AND wanting a 3 colouration mog is quite the challenge. When creating a mog it's important (my opinion) to decide what item is going to be your focus point and then start out from that. Seeing that you really like the helmet, that will be your focus point. So what do you see when you look at the helmet? I see a blue turban with a lighter blue fire and a grey scarf with a copper orange edge. Basically your colour/shape pallet of this mog will be; Copper orange, dark blue, blue, grey, with fiery effects. You will select pieces on these criteria.

IF you want to add another focus piece you can increase the colour pallet, but that doesn't mean finding the right items will be easier. When adding another focus point you will approach it the same way as your first focus point and pin down the things you see. Then when cross-matching the focus points and pieces you want to make sure that all items at least share 1 criteria from both pallets (preferably more).
For example; colour pallet 1 contains Copper orange, dark blue, blue, grey, with fiery effects. Colour pallet two contains Purple, Blue, lightning effects. When combining these two pallets you want to use items that share at least 1 criteria from both pallets

Adding two or more focus points isn't advised because there is only so much a person can look at before the view becomes cluttered.

Try following these steps when creating a mog and things wil get much easier than just pick-matching items.

Lil hint; try out the BFA jackets for a starting point for your mog.

For my 1-hour challenge I took this one. For the people who don't know > I take one of the channel members question and turn it into a mog in 1 hour. When the hour is over i share the mog with everyone (good or not). This was actually a challenge. Especially not using 4 or more pieces from the same set. Doing some research, ive found out that more people are asking for help with these shoulders. Since there almost aren't any mint green items.. So I had to work with shades of green. Not 100% pleased with the mog, but I can see it definitely being a start for someone else. Hopefully you can use this mog as a base and add some "own flair" to it.

Will definitely come back to these shoulders at one point to put more hours in the mog but for now as part of 1-hour challenge this is it. Hope it helps!

+; Nice combo of the DH lookalike set and the Deathstalker set. Those fit together really well.
+-; Not enough focus on the materials used and/or shapes in the mog in combo with the colours these materials and or shapes have. Helmet, gloves, especially.

• ; There isn't anything terribly bad and/or something that NEEDS to be removed

ADVICE:
Overall, you are on your way to make this mog a good mog, and it's already a decent mog. Since you are an active member in here, "decent" is of course not enough, so we are going to make this mog "good". So when looking at your mog I see a few things. Blackish metal, a green diamond, some swirlies on the shoulders and legs, weapons with spikes/swirlies/green diamond again (besides the overall colouration of course which is pretty well-matched already). Plus, the character model is a vulpera.

What would I do: Remove helmet, gloves, and belt. The helmet metal colour isn't matching, same with the gloves (and the brown but that wasn't that bad), and the belt makes the vulpera look rounder than necessary. After that I would add the darkshore warfront belt that perfectly fits the deathstalker set (basically an upgraded version of it) and is a vertical belt which makes the vulpera looks less round and bulky. To replace the mismatching and bulky helmet I would again go for a vertical helmet which stretches out the mog even more, so it gets more room to breath. Full hoods work here pretty good, for example the helmet from the warhide set. Or I would go with a helmet that adds more of the colour used in the details (green) with the railwalker hood. Then to replace the gloves I'd go with the option of choosing no gloves but just wrists and those will be from the DH lookalike set to match the already used items.

Thought sharing my full thinking process would be nice!

I believe it’s a standard glow on the weapon+a transmogged enchant glow that kinda “breathes” so it overlaps the standard weapons glow.

But idk if I can get that enchant or if it’s unavailable now or anything. All the enchants I see that are enchant appearances I don’t have, but are in the collections tab are nothing like it.

Did the 1 hour challenge with your two pieces. It ended up being more difficult than I thought. The materials used in both pieces are completely different. Metal/blue and brownish fur. Looking at those two materials and colours, i decided to go for a Gladiator type of look. Used some pieces that you don't see that often. Hope this helps to find some inspiration for your mog! I think if you want to make these two pieces work you definitely need to go for a "washed up warrior" "rogue warrior" "gladiator" type of theme/look. Might even be able to fit the supple helm look into this. Definitely need to find a way to make blue metal, brown feathers/fur, AND brown leather work, which is quite the challenge. No wonder you were struggling with this one, since it's a real tough one.

Shoulders are off, atm. Id also think more about the materials used, and I advise to make your first mog a non tabard mog. If you scroll a bit up, ive given a step-by-step process explanation what goes on in my head when im making a mog. I think if you read that, it will help you massively.

Anyone knowledgeable on how rares work could help me? I just got back to wow after mid bfa the way rares worked then is you kill them once and after that you need to kill them as an objective of a world quest to get their unique mog items if I remember and you would kill them outside a world quest and never ever get anything. I got SL and accidentally sold all my rare drops during lvling and it seems none are dropping again now I need them for mog. Do they just have a way lower drop chance after the first kill?

• Nice colouration, nice combos (red scarf with red knee warps, the dark bit of the top with the dark of the legs, the button on the shoulders with the buttons on the leg pouches, brown of the hat with the brown on the shoulder) WELL DONE.
  +- The fine details on the bracers and the different red tint kind of stand out, the fine details of the bracers kind of break the flow of the bigger wraps of the shirt.

• The metal in the belt is a different colour, the shapes on the cord of the belt has a certain pattern that is nowhere to be found in the mog.

Overall good mog, some things i'd change but nothing too major. I'd recommend you change the bracers and the belt. For a belt i'd look for something that matches with the hat metal accessory or at least has the same colour. For the bracers I'd just pick a simple dark bracer or even no bracer.

If the question is purely regarding a fist weapon in the offhand slot to thunderfury, then you "just" transmog it by using the drop-down panel, select one-handed swords and use thunderfury. No tricks needed.
