I'm a bit unclear on what you're trying to unlock. If you want the basic colour of Thunderfury artefact, all you need to do is to unlock the hidden artefact. If you want to have a different colour of it, you need to first unlock the hidden artefact and then do an additional thing depending on the colour you want

Perhaps it's easier if you just link a picture of the artefact appearance and colour that you want, and we can take it from there

You get around 700-1k an hour depending on how efficient your group is

Join a research farming group, can be either party of 5 or 2 parties of 4 and continuously kill darkfuse mobs in the northen area.
Once you reach friendly rep, you can buy two items from darkfuse that let you loot more research, forgot the names but it's a beacon and a potion that gives one hour buff. You will see farm groups use beacons constantly (the beacon buff is individual so you need to place your own).

maybe its just classic brain but omg why do swords just look 1000x better on undead rogues than daggers and i literally cant get invested in fantasy games if it doesnt have a dagger class

In general bigger weapons are more satisfying to use in WoW cause of the silhouette they add to the character. In the middle of all the VFX and half assed animations going off, you can actually see your character swinging something

So makes sense swords give a better feedback loop to the brain

Next expansion

DF S4 fucked up the system we had and now the items you can (p.e) buy from the event vendors can't be catalyzed.

The only LFR set you can currently get iirc is S2 (which was S4) aka shredder. But the method is extremely tedious and totally not worth it

Tldr: wait for the next expansion so you get 11 levels above the DF raids and it becomes legacy (and the LFR npcs get added to the game).

Raids that are not legacy (DF) scale with the number of players in the group. Each adding a 20% chance to drop loot, so you'd need at least 5 people to guarantee 1 total drop from each boss from LFR to HC

Mythic is scaled to 20 nevertheless so I guess you can run with whatever people you want
