Interesting bug I discovered. If you have an item that can't be transmogrified because it doesn't have a gear type (like Boots of the Bay or Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat) you can transmogrify it to another cosmetic item by saving a transmog appearance with the cosmetic you want in the corresponding slot, closing the mog window, and reopening it.

Be advised there's no way to revert the mog to its original appearance after you do this though.

belt is way too flat for a mog with so many 3D effects, also boots brown is very red compared to the rest

Used the boots to break up the similarity of shade with the upper body and leg's rustic red shades and the boots are a deeper shade of that red while maintaining a silver outline similar to the gloves, sword, and shoulders in a manner that depicts darkening when going through terrain.

As for the belt, it's mainly to put more focus on the upper body than to draw the attention down lower with more detail being added in the very center.

That was my thought process when doing this mog X)

Yeah, it's really hard not to use "that" face because its just super easy to work with lol. Although I have been straying away from certain hairstyles slowly because I overuse em alot since they're, by design & look, my favorite. Same with hair color, skin colors, and other things.

Ultimately, I think it boils down to: "Is it easy to work with? Does it look good (texturally)? Is it visible (when up close)?"

While in mogs I post, I use a mix of different hair styles, skin colors, hair colors, faces, and other features, I've always leaned on the lightest skin color because its the easiest one to spot mistakes in when designing mogs and go back after the mog has been made to actually pick features to help prop up the mog.

Outlandish Drake Racer's Belt is a bit too blue tinted for the mog, this is with the Icy Drake Racer's Belt. I'd go with the Excavator's Trusty Satchel if we're going for a 3d model since it compliments the chest better

That reminds me, I have a pet peeve when it comes to the Drake Racer sets which is missing out the time period in which they come out in means you do not get the mog at all. I find it extremely irritating the amount of mogs and items in Dragonflight alone that cannot be obtained simply become of the amount of Limited time events they're adding. I'd consider it a little bit too excessive even if they're trying out new things. So if you're taking a long break from WoW and you miss out on the time period in which Azeroth, Outlands, or even WotLK Drake Racing was available, it's no longer available to you.

The issue with create time-limited transmogs is that there is a good chance there will not be anything available that will match them outside of their own set. And it will be a good while before something good matches with them.

I am satisfied that they're adding a lot more variance to player customization across multiple themes with new color tones, highlights, and complexity but the time limited events is just not good.

Edit: I am excluding time limited mogs from PvP since I have a different argument for those, same with Challenge Dungeons like in Pandaria and WoD.

Yeah, I understand that lol. The argument case I had for PvP is that while hitting 1800 and having the elite set is nice, not a lot of people that have the set will use it and because there's better mogs than having a full set, the value of having a unique full set isn't there as it was back then.

I'd honestly make it possible to purchase old elite sets from the past purchasable with new a special currency earned for progressing the PvP ladder or with an abundance of Marks of Honor (far more than 12 imo since you get so many Marks now-a-days).

There isn't a sense of prestige anymore with having a pvp set from a decade ago that get's out shadowed by newer and more modern transmog and while the recolor could look better, its not far off from the same quality of the normal version of that elite set. For newer pvp sets, you rarely ever see your own transmog in PvP combat due to the amount of special effects going out in EBGs or you're more focused on trying to win the battle.

Beware soloing him as assassination with sudden demise. That thing cuts through dmg reduction bosses like him Il'gynoth and conclave of the chosen in BoD.

Sudden demise works very well when soloing BoD. To hell with your P.L.O.T armor and King Rastakhan's RP.

It's actually easy to get on a DH alt without actually pvping, if you get the season 3 free heroic tier piece token achievement you can actually use it to buy a PvP tier piece that has the gladiator appearance

Get base weapon --> Do Stormheim campaign to the point you free the drake you'll later need to do the artifact quest (chapter 4 or 5) --> Farm the 2 dungeons needed to get the bindings --> Go back to stormheim and talk to the drake --> Do quest --> Profit

And before you ask, YES, you can farm the bindings in normal mode, so you can spam as many times as you want

AFAIK the dungeon items only drop AFTER obtaining atleast the base weapon. I don't know if you also need the stormheim questline done to the point mentioned. To be safe, i'd go Get weapon --> Do questline --> Farm bindings

Hey, Im new here and I've been lurking in the transmogs for a while and think people have really good ideas here, almost intimidating showing a potential mog :p Ive been grinding plunderstorm, got the set, wanted it to work with an idea I had in my head, but Im not sure it does. Really wanted the shoulders to work, but I guess not with the plunder legs..

The easiest way to know if it overall fits there is to cover the bottom part of the tmog with your hand and look to the upper side, then do the same thing reversed
