Because shadowstrike gets a 25 yard range when used from stealth. So even if you dont have a step you can vanish>shadowstrike to connect and its basically the same thing

Well, 1. it’s optimal for Midnight assa because of the pooling and envenom etc etc

But 2. Pvp isn’t pve, so mastery could still very well be better

I’ve shared some scoreboards with Notrickz last night playing full bleeds

and pumping

Let’s be real, they aren’t actually looking to make changes to Assa besides aura values

for this tier

The only thing it used to control was limit ambush and backstabs since we had to wait for a perfectly timed attack right before the 2s energy tick rate. We could do 1 Ambush followed by 1 backstab back to back. After that, energy was the throttle. Back then, those abilities did enough to justify the throttle.

The game has long since moved on. Energy is outdated. The rotational gameplay is so simple that the resource frustration sticks out like a sore thumb. I think they ought to simplify or eliminate the resource frustration by making us modern, and then they could easily justify increasing the complexity of rotational gameplay some.

Ofc, Blizzard will never do this. But one can dream, anyways.

mercenary mode is available but you can also queue with guildies/community chums from the opposing faction without having to find the npc and get the buff

your racials get replaced though, wotf becomes will to survive or whatever it's called now
